Mercure Napoli Angioino Centro

We stayed two nights in this hotel for a first trip to Naples. It is near but not in a tourist area. We found the location a bit drab with few really good restaurants nearby. The room was clean but a bit small for two people. We had problems getting both of our laptops on WiFi. We didn't pay for the breakfast but there was a musty, cooking smell that wafted into the lobby after breakfast was served. The staff also didn't give us very good advice about side trips. We definitely will not stay here again.

We came here at Easter and we were happy with our choice. Rooms were comfortable and spacious enough, mattress was good and so was the shower. Breakfast had a wide choice of food and you could take as many coffees as you like. As it was pouring with rain, we didn't have breakfast on the terrace, which had a nice view of the 'Maschio Angioino'.
Location turned out to be very handy, not too far from the station (about 15 mins walk) and close to many monuments. The area is slightly oriented to buissness people, but there was a good family trattoria just one minutes walk from the hotel.
All in all, it was worth spending a little more and book here. Staff was nice throughout and made a couple of phone calls to museums to make sure they were open.

Chose this hotel for location and chain's reputation - and was not dissappointed! Close to some major attractions, with public transportation to others. Very friendly, helpful staff. Spotless, well appointed rooms, as expected at such a hotel. Several decent restaurants near-by. We skipped their breakfast.

I stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was immaculately clean, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and it is situated just around the corner from the port.
If I were to visit Napoli agagin I would stay here without giving it a second's thought....perfect!

We booked this hotel because we wanted to be sure we were in a decent area of Naples.

The hotel itself is what you'd expect from a Mecure, very clean, modern rooms, good service and friendly staff - although reception did struggle with some questions in English, but then my Italian isn't that great either! They were helpful when we needed a taxi to the airport, and you get a fixed rate from the hotel.

We were on the very top floor so had a great view and access to the roof.

It's only short walk to the nicest area of Naples and the port, so would definitely recommend.

This hotel has a very good location to the cruise port, literally a few steps away. We had missed our cruise departure from Barcelona, so flew to Naples to wait for the ship to reach there. I say that so you would understand we were not in the best of moods. Saying that, the hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and helped us unwind from a stressful situation. Everything was spotlessly clean, through the room we had was not large, but then nor was the price. You can easily walk to most of the major attractions of central Naples, so if you are looking for a budget hotel that doesn’t feel like one, this may be a good choice. Just behind the hotel was an excellent Italian restaurant, family run, good food, sensible prices. The old adage that “if a restaurant is full of locals”, go on in, you’re in the right place was, as ever, true.
