My husband and I paid € 100 for 3 nights last week. We read all the reviews after we had booked the hotel and I was quite worried about it. Apart from a terrible breakfast,( bread, jam, cold coffee and croissants in plastic wrappers) the hotel itself was fine. The room was big, old but clean, fresh towels and aircon. Wifi only works in reception .
The area itself is noisy and a bit dodgy, as anywhere near train stations tends to be in my experience.

Myself and a fellow female stayed in Hotel Prati for 2 nights before leaving it on our own accord to move onto a safer area.
The hotel is located close to the central station which DOES have good access to get around Naples and to other areas. We paid an average price for a double room however found a much better hotel (Bovio Suite) for the same price. The hotel did seem a bit more like a hostel, it was fairly clean and beds were made daily and there were towels.
I wouldn't return to this hotel, mostly due to its location; the area of Piazza Garibaldi is very unsafe - very busy during the day with a lot of men hassling and staring at you (if you are female!) and it is too dark during the night to walk around and feel safe. Prostitutes also hang around Piazza Garibaldi and the central station at night.
Upon our 2nd night my bag was stolen from me by a man on a scooter not to far from the hotel, hence why we wanted to leave the area a lot sooner. The receptionist at Hotel Prati was not particularly suprised at what had happened however there had been no warning when we arrived to the hotel about this common crime (which would be a lot more useful especially to young females). The receptionist did however help us locate the police station and gave us some basic information.

I would warn other travellers to the Naples area to hide their valuables well and to leave anything that wasnt absolutely necessary to take out behind in the hotel. It is much safer to get a taxi back to your hotel too than to walk the streets at night to get back. Aside from this incident, Naples is old and beautiful and has a lot of character!

It was one of those experiences I wish I could avoid. This "hotel" is nothing but a hostel. It was dirty with hair on the bed, dust all over and bathroom that seems as it was about to fall apart. The service?? The person who checked us in was on a cloud, tried to make us park the car with the hotel while street parking that day was Free! And kept on telling us that we shouldn't park on the street as it is not safe. Breakfast was a joke, bread and jam, bad taste coffee, and nothing else..do yourself a favor and stay away, unless you really like this kindlf experience.

We spent a night here with our two dauhgters on a family vacation when we visited the ruins of Pompei. My advise-avoid this hotel! it's in a crappy part of town, its dirty, the room is noisy and the beds are terrible! We couldn't sleep at night. Took a shower and the drainer is clogged. Hair on the sheets. mold and dust everywhere. it's gross. Breakfast was a bad joke with powder juice and dry bread. The only good thing about this hotel was leaving it!!!

Napoli, yes it's the town is dirty and you need patients. But it's real Italy, were the monuments are beautiful, were you eat plenty of pasty and drink the real coffee for little money. The hotel is very central located and we staid 5 days. We took the local train at the station ( only 5 min walk) to Visuvius, Pompei and Sorrento. Train is cheap, boat is expensive.
Yes it's noicy, but everywhere in Napels is noisy. The staff are very friendly and Marco at the reception is great. The staff gets paid very little money and wages are low. So have respect for them.
The price is very good and ofcourse you can't expect any big thing for breakfast.

Well if you like surly staff, smelly bathrooms, very basic facilities, air con that doesn't work and a general lack of cleanliness... then this is the hotel for you.

The professional photos bear very little resemblance to the reality. Its located in a noisy part of a noisy city, so you'll want to shut the window so you can sleep - mind you, the lack of air con means that the room will then become hot and airless. Keep the bathroom door tight shut because it stinks in there. We thought it was poor value for money and were very glad it was only for one night. Keep looking - you can surely find a better hotel than this.

We decided to stay in Naples one extra night so we could go to Sorrento beaches and Naples was close to the airport bus terminal which we needed the following morning. We stayed in this hotel for one night after our initial hotel couldn't have us stay a night longer as they were fully booked.

The hotel seemed decent from the Italian restaurant across the road (fantastic food). However when we arrived to check in, we weren't escorted to our room and when we arrived on our floor a snappy Italian man hurried us to the correct passage. This was the first of many bad services as the the room was gloomy and the bed very uncomfortable. The bathroom? Horrifyingly dirty, there was still hair in the shower cubicle and on the floor next to the loo.

Our room came paid with breakfast, we asked if we could take fruits or juice in the morning as we were to head to the airport at 6AM. The first receptionist said its 'impossible', the second one said they'll knock on our door in the morning and this never happened.

The walls were so thin we could all hear each other's conversations. The Internet? You must come sit at reception to receive the signal as its impossible from your room.

If you must stay in Naples, I would not suggest this hotel at all. Napoli Central B&B is a better place around the corner from here.

Room Tip: Book into Napoli Central B& B instead. Good beds and clean sheets. Great Internet connection fro...
