We returned to the Majestic recently for three nights. We didn't get a warm greeting - actually there was no greeting whatsoever! It's not that kind of place. It's a business hotel and rather low on charm. But the superior room was a decent size with a large(ish) bathroom and a nice view to Vesuvius and even Capri when the weather was clear. Nice king-size bed, firm mattress, TV with Sky News. Wifi for a hefty charge. Breakfast is not good value (10 euros which these days is 10 pounds) so we mostly took that in nearby bars and pastry shops. The neighbourhood is a little noisy at night but convenient for shopping on the via Chiaia and also great local restaurants - especially the Osteria Tonino a block west, and La Locanda just two blocks west. Next time we might try a boutique hotel as this place is a bit on the "cold" side.

Good size rooms for a hotel in a city, clean and comfortable and in a safe area in Naples. Supermarket in side street, and Cafes nearby for breakfast. I lost my jewellery in the safe and after initially denying that we left it it was found ca 6 weeks after our stay in the safe by the safe repair people, so I was impressed when they contacted us and sent it back. Would stay there again.

I stayed in Hotel Majestic a long weekend for business in Neaples. The room was great, it had even parquet on the floor and it was large and clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. The only cons are water (it mostly is brownish, due to aqueduct problems?) and the fact that hot beverages at breakfast were a little too slow: it usually took them 15-20 minutes to prepare and bring a cappuccino, probably because there weren't enough staff people at the normal breakfast rush hours.

We booked our stay for the family (a couple ans 3 adult sons) by booking.com and as we arrived in the MAjestic, we knew we did a good choice.
The hotel is located in the Chiaia district, wich is a very nice place with goods shops (three blocks form via del Calabrito, wehre Gucci, Vuittom, Armani and another nice shops are) and near to some pedestrian streets, with nice shops as Diesel, and some bars, that are very nice for a late afternoon walk.
You can go walking to an incredible pizza place, Matozzi, wich is only four block away. The owner is a very nice person, as well as and the staff and the place is very cozy and food is amazing - not only the pizza itself and the pasta, but the nutella tart and the other pastries, that are unforgetable. It was such a nice experience that in our 4 night stay, we ate there for two.
The hotel itself is more dedicated to business and the decoration follows this rule, but it was incredible new and clean (what is not common for Naples), the rooms where good and the bathroom was very good also, with a big bathtub and nice shower inside of it.
Just don´t expect a traditiona building, since it´s not.
The staff was so nice to us - since the front desk to the manager and the maids, the breakfast was very good and the restaurant also, I ate there a delicious veal with apple.
The only bad thing is that they dont have personal safes in the rooms, but they said us they where suppose to instal it this year.
I would return without a doubt.

The name of the hotel suggests a slightly different look than the square box style functional exterior. Having said that, the hotel is excellently situated: close to the harbour and smack bang in the middle of excellent and charming and rather upmarket shopping streets. We felt totally safe walking the streets in this area at night (unlike some other parts of town). There are also a number of good restaurants and cafes close by.

I visited the hotel in connection with a conference, with several collegues. We had some hair raising experiences with taxi drivers, so it was a definate plus to be able to walk most places.

The actual rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped.

I see that someone else has commented that the water pressure in the suites on the top floor was poor. That was not a problem for us. We stayed on the first floor (which for some inexplicable reason turned out to be the second floor...) and the water pressure was excellent.

The airconditioning was quiet, efficent and adjustable, so no complaints there either.

The breakfast buffet was good and hotel staff polite and helpful.
I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Naples.

You do not get a view from most of the rooms and if you want to stay in an historic building, this is not the hotel for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a clean, pleasant, quiet and well located hotel - this might be it.

Unfortunately this hotel has a problem with water pressure.
In the luxury rooms on the 10th floor [junior suites] there is not enough water pressure so during periods of high usage in lower floors no water is available.
Even at quiet times there is insufficient pressure to have a shower and it takes a long time to fill the bath.
The water is brown in colour.
The hotel applied a 2 night penalty for early departure before the due date. Expedia.com could not persuade the management to improve the settlement.
Airport taxis charge double rate on Sundays and the hotel amenities are limited. This is a business hotel not a vacation or weekend break hotel.
