“Not that bad”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

As a city, Naples is not great. The hotel is situated in something like a poor tenement area with traffic to die for (not, really, I mean people would die here).
The receptionists are lovely, the room was basic. As usual in Italy you get no kettle, coffee or tea. The beds were stone hard. The bar was very smart, but the speed of service was something like tortoise pace.
Breakfast has a good range at the buffet. Overall the price is OK for the average quality.
You wont be taking many photos round the area.

Room Tip: Try the Amalfi coast 50 miles away

I think they should be more clear about the information of the services they give. The bar is good and food as well. International call wag expensives. Wi fi internet only in the bar and in the roon you have to pay high fees. The hotel is in a very noisy area. Eu acho que eles deveriam ser mais claroa quanto as informaçoes que dao em relaçao aos serviços que tem disponiveis. O bar é bom, e a comida tambem. Chamadas internacionais por outro lado sao caras demais e o wifi so tem no bar. No quarto precisar pagar um preço absurdo. O hotel fica em uma area barulhenta.

We had read the reviews about this Hotel with some trepidation but from the moment we arrived to the minute we left, we were treated with utmost courtesy and kindness by the excellent staff. The rooms were lovely clean and comfortable and the beds were changed every day. It was extremely quiet in spite of being in a very noisy and congested part of Naples. The rooms were air conditioned which could be controlled as desired. The adjoining en suite bathroom was impeccably clean and there were a range of lotions, soaps, shampoos etc provided every day together with fresh towels. Television in the rooms had several programme choices.

The breakfast provided in buffet style was well equipped with a huge range of cereals, pastries cold meats cheese and breads, a selection of drinks hot and cold always available together with a good selection of fresh fruit. There was never a problem in finding a table. Free Wi Fi was available and we did not lose the connection any time we used it. We ate several times in the evening in the Hotel restaurant, the menu was changed every day and offered a great selection of meat, fresh fish and Pasta dishes together with fresh fruit salads and gateaux for desserts. Excellent coffee could also be enjoyed here. The adjoining bar was pleasant and a nice area for an after dinner drink and then a seat in the lounge.
The Circumvesuviana railway line was literally across the road from the front of the Hotel and provided easy and cheap access to a number of places, Vesuvius, Pompei, Helculaneum and Sorrento to mention just a few. Just around the corner was the main centrale station which provided easy access to all other parts of Spain, we travelled to Rome for a day from here and otherwise used the circumvesuviana line. Buses stopped regularly from outside the station to the Port etc. for trips to Capri.
A better Hotel for easy access for the tourist to all places of interest would have been hard to find. Altogether an excellent hotel, great staff, nothing too much trouble, I cannot find any fault with this at all and would stay there again any time.I would like to say a big thankyou to all the staff especially those on reception for making it a truly enjoyable stay in Italy.

Room Tip: As there was a considerable amount of traffic outside the Hotel most times, I would advise requestin...

My wife and I stayed at the Ramada in Naples for one night in August 2013. We found the location extremely convenient as we had travelled down from Rome on the train and intended visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum the next day.

The hotel is very clean and the room spacious. There was also a magnificent view of a brooding Mount Vesuvius from our hotel window.

Dinner was enjoyable although the portions were a little on the small size for the price but the service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage free of charge while we traipsed around Pompeii and Herculaneum.

We found the Ramada Hotel very professional and can recommend it if you are visiting Naples. It is very conveniently located being a short three minute walk from the main railway station.

Room Tip: A room overlooking Mount Vesuvius will help make your stay a memorable one.

The Ramada Hotel, Naples is very conveniently located for train travelers.
The rooms are plain, but clean and spacious with updated bathrooms and good air-conditioning.
Two computers and a printer in the lobby are free for guest use and the young staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
The breakfast is splendid.
Altogether, the Ramada Hotel is great value for the money.

Room Tip: Take a taxi at night when going into town.

Good location for the ones who need to catch a train/Circumvesuviana, but not for those who want to visit the city. The neighbourhood around Napoli Centrale is awful, you may not want to go out after the sunset.
The hotel is ok: easy to find, spacious rooms/bathrooms, comfy beds, and that's about it.
The AC is either on or off, you cannot control the temperature nor the intensity. The TV is blurry and only has Italian channels. There is no minibar but there are vending machines on each floor so you can have a snack from there. Our window was locked, therefore fresh air was not an option.
Breaskfast is of good quality and pretty diverse. Lots of sweets.
The staff is well trained and very kind. All in all, for one night the hotel was ok considering the price paid.

Dear guest,

Value for money is our must. I would like to point out that thanks to the metro line "Garibaldi" (200 meters far) you can easily visit the city. Our Tv offer includes eight foreign channels as well as a complimentary on demand channel (sport & film). All bedroom windows can be only partially opened for security reasons.

All the best,

The hotel is located only a 3 mins walk away from the train station.
Located on a very noisy busy city road.
We were shocked by the contrast in buildings. A lot of poorer areas right around the corner, which made us realize that it is not all good and prosperity in Naples.

The male receptionist ( I believe his name was Vincent) has been wonderful! He deserves all the credits one can get as a receptionist. He was caring, patient, gave us some good advice and very friendly. Thumbs up!

We would not consider staying there again.

Dear guest,

A well-trained staff is a great value to return in a hotel despite its location. Naples is a city that causes very mixed feelings. There are those who love it instantly or who hate it forever. The hotel is only a filter between the tourist and the city.

Kind regards,
