“Just what we needed for Naples!”
Reviewed 23 August 2011

This hotel is a little difficult to find, do not try to walk from the train station, Naples is confusing, the traffic is crazy and it is a little scary to wander into the wrong neighbourhood with all of your luggage! My husband and I ended up taking a cab ride to the hotel, and we eventually got in through 2 gates, and up a bunch of stairs. We were unsure of the hotel and Naples, but the reception got us settled in a wonderful little room with free wireless (get the code from the desk), and free air conditioning. It was a quiet little room close to shopping and restaurants and squares. Naples was a lot of fun, and we used the hotel to go on day trips to Sorrento and Pompeii/Herculaneum. It was about a 25 minute walk from the hotel to the train station - the walk was highly entertaining, with lots of scooters buzzing by, and street markets to pick up some fruit or beer or snacks, and people and laundry hanging off balconys, it was exactly how I pictured Italy and I loved it.

Nearby ferry terminal, centro storico, busses, and so on. Very clean. Also verysafe. Really helpful and genuine friendly staff. And an excellent bed (hard to find in Italy - they're usually a bit short). Simply the best value for money I had on this trip!

This little hotle is tucked away in the historic center of Naples. It was a bit strange entering the building as it is tucked back behind a little cafe. But, The rooms are cute and very clean. We felt very welcome and Giovanni was a great help!! He got us set up with a map of town and gave recommendations of areas we might be interested in visiting. He's a funny guy who made our stay in Naples just that much better. Thanks so much!

Napoli has become one of my favorite places in the world! There's a lot of people that had a bad experience in this city, we had one of the best times ever, and the hotel was a very big part of it. Could be a little scary the enviroment, but the truth is that is a very safety place and once you get inside the hotel is marvelous!
Don't miss the oportunity to know this city, eat delicious and be sorrounded by the most incredible history, Pompei, the amalfitana coast, and the Hotel Europeo is a very good place to stay, in the middle of everything.

Room Tip: Look carefully to the coments of other people, maybe they rate that room very badly because breakfas...

The location near many restaurants and far from the terrible area of Stazione Centrale was the best thing in this hotel. Still it was quite cheap and the single room was cosy and clean. The bed was quite bad, but air-condition worked well and there was a bath room for private use, so it was luxury enough for me. Sometimes there was a smell of cigarette coming from the corridor, which was my only real disappointment of this hotel. The hotel was quiet enough and it felt really safe: there were two door-bells (on the gate and on the main door) and you have to say your name, when going there. The personnell was really nice and helpful and they spoke quite good English. They call you a taxi, if needed etc. There is a free wi-fi in the hotel, which worked in the room too.

Hotel is close to centre of Naples, across from University. The town itself is filthy and run down so it puts the hotel in a bad impression when you approach it. Once inside it is a mediocre establishment with the tiniest of lifts ever. Rooms small and beds small too. OK for a short stay like 1 or 2 nights but no longer. Staff extremely helpful and responded to sorting the broken toilet seat and replacing of blown globes very promptly.

If you've never been to Napoli it can be a bit daunting at first and the rubbish and graffiti would put most off but there are a few little gems out there and this is one of them! The entrance is through the metal gate on the right, just go past the cafe. We went up the other side and walked up six flights of stairs before we realised we were in the wrong place!! We booked through Easyjet at just over £20 a night which is an absolute bargain for the room we got. The room wasn't spacious with two rucksacks but had storage and the en-suite was clean, the air con worked fine and the television sort of worked! Overall we had a pleasant and quiet nights sleep and great day in Napoli with a lot to see and do nearby. The guy on reception was really nice and helpful, he gave us a little map.. Priceless!! Don't hesitate, just book it..
