Napoli is a busy, chaotic and somewhat dirty city. Hotel Rex is the opposite. Nice hotel in a cleaner district near the old city center. It's a good 10 minute walk to the old Centro Historico but if you don't mind walking a nice route which brings you passing some highlights and prefer to be in a less busy and chaotic area near the seafront we certainly recommend Hotel Rex.
We found the room [ground floor] very clean and had a good bed. Not too hard and certainly not too soft. Shower was somewhat small for a normal size north-European guy but served it's purpose. As said somewhere before not over luxurious nor massively large but certainly good enough for the price paid. The Room offered a little fridge, airco and a small safe. Breakfast could have used some savory items instead of all sweet but then again it's a 3 minute walk to the nearest supermarket and a 5 minute walk to the closest pizza. The staff were more than friendly and helpful and made the hotel extra friendly for us to stay at.
Note: At the time of our stay , the suggested bus c24 after taking the AliBus from the airport wasn't the best suggestion but it was much better to take the bus 154 from Via Marina [other side of piazza Municipio on the waterfront] to Via Santa Lucia. It's pretty close so about 4 stops.More
