We stay 11 days in Hotel Rex (my mother and I). Very good hotel in a good location (very safe), the hotel is good situated not far from Castel L'Ovo with a few of loveley restaurants and bars .
The hotel is very clean always new towels. The breakfeast is OK enough and a lot of Italian sweets.
The staff is very friendly and gave us good tips to explorer the city.
I recommend this hotel to everybody

We had a triple room - two adults and our 15 year old son - and it was perfect, a well-sized room, with good breakfast options. It is perfectly situated near the waterfront, and in a very attractive neighbourhood with a reasonable variety of restaurants and shops. We could walk to the ferries to Capri/Ischia etc, and it wasn't too far to the old town. It was clean and quiet, and the management were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Rex, the Hotel staff was fantastic, always helping and solving problems, giving clear and perfect recommendations, the room was clean, and we rally enjoy it, the staff was really service oriented, nice to see.
We fell in love of Napoli, wounderful city and people, always helping, always searching you feel well, always welcome, protected, taking care of you. It was 3 days of rain and win, but who cares when you are surronding of culrure, history, fantastic food, the world best Pizza.

I stayed here for ten days last summer with my boyfriend. We wanted to treat ourselves but don't have a massive budget, so based on my research Hotel Rex seemed perfect. The hotel staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. We arrived earlier than check-in time, but our room was ready and we were able to freshen up before exploring the area. The staff were more than happy to recommend things for us to do. The room was perfectly adequate for our needs, very clean and quiet despite being near the busy seafront. The location is great as you are near the ferries for trips to the islands and a ten minute walk away from the town. Some might not be satisfied with the continental breakfast which is quite limited in its selection. If you're looking for a luxury break this hotel is not for you, but then neither is Naples! If you're looking for somewhere comfortable with all the basics to come back to after a long day of exploring, Hotel Rex is perfect.

We stayed for three nights in October 2012. We chose the hotel specifically for its location, and we were very happy with that - a few metres from the sea front in a relatively upmarket part of the city, where many of the top hotels are. The Rex isn't a 'top hotel' of course, and it doesn't pretend to be one, nor does it charge 'top hotel' prices - it was reasonably good value considering the excellent location.

The room was small but clean. We were on the first floor overlooking a noisy street, but the double windows kept he traffic noise out, and we slept well, despite the fact that the air conditioning was not working (it was late October, but the weather was still warm, to us at least!).

Less satisfactory was the breakfast - nice pastries but poor coffee, and the panini would run out if you didn't get there soon enough. Others have described the staff as friendly and helpful, but that was not our experience. In particular, on our last morning, an hour or two before checking out, we asked reception to check on the ferries to Ischia, where we were heading next, as the weather had turned wet and windy overnight. We explained that we were well aware of the timetables, but we needed to know whether the ferries were actually running, in view of the weather. The receptionist clearly understood what we were asking, but all he did was print off a copy of the timetable and hand it to us ten minutes later while we were having our breakfast. I emphasise that this was not a language problem - the receptionist understood the request perfectly well, but seemingly couldn't be bothered!

So it's a mixed bag, but I think we would probably stay here again because of its superb location.

We spent two nights in this city hotel in September 2012. The location is very good - you walk out of the door, turn right - and you are right by the sea. Downtown Naples including the main shopping areas and the old town are just a 10 minutes walk away.
The overall condition of the hotel is OK, but our room was very small, we had a window that opened right to a busy road where the scooters didn't stop going through the night... Still, we had to keep it open as the A/C was really noisy and the weather in early September was warm and very humid. So, did not really get a lot of sleep. Most importantly, the room and the bathroom were very clean.
We can recommend this hotel to all city travellers who come to Naples for the city and not for the hotel rooms.

Me and my husband spent three nights at this hotel during our city break last weekend.
On arrival a friendly and helpful receptionist welcomed us. He helped us with the transport in the city and to find directions to historical places. The other memebers of the staff were also polite and helpful and most of them could speak English.
The room was a bit dark and had a view to the patio which was not very nice, but we did not spend too much time there, so we did not ask for another room with a nicer view. The room was cleaned and the towels were changed every day.
Breakfast was delicious for us in spite of the poor selection.
The hotel is in a safe area where we could walk at night. The promenade can be reached in some minutes on foot and it is really spectacular and very relaxing to stroll along the beach.
We liked Naples very much and will definitely go back again.
