“Family fun and great food”
Reviewed 29 December 2013

Located on a back ally, we were greeted at the door and made welcome by several members of the staff. The old time charm continued as we followed the music into the back room. We were given many extras before our orders were delivered, all gratis, and were entertained by the paid musician and the owners, who explained the songs to us in English and encouraged all the guest to join in on the chorus. We had an early train to catch or may have stayed until the wee hours.

“Wonferful pizza”
Reviewed 16 December 2013

We ended up at D'Angeli after seeing the long line for Da Michele made popular by the book Eat, Pray, Love. What a pleasant surprise! We had the best pizza, ever!!! Mario, our waiter, was great. This is the place to go for great food and wonderful staff.

“Good pizza, open when others aren't”
Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

We passed through Naples on a day trip from Rome to Pompeii. Of course we had to try pizza in Naples, but most places weren't open when we were passing through. We ended up here by accident, looking for another place that wasn't open. The pizza was very good, the service was indifferent. Not sorry we stopped, but no idea how it compares to the more well known places in the same neighborhood.

“Get the pizza fritta!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Lunch at D’Angeli had fabulous service and pretty good food. My marinara pizza was good, but a bit too saucy and sweet compared to Trianon and Di Matteo. However, my husband got the Naples famous pizza fritta (fried pizza) and it was amazing! Dough fried to perfection and stuffed full of cheese and sauce!

“The Best Secret in Naples”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

This place must be the greatest secret in Naples! The birth place of pizza, there are many places to eat pizza in this town. I am not one to fall for tourist traps and this is not one. Pilar, Savio, Carlo, and Manuel served up the best food and fabulous customer service. Both our bellies and our hearts were full by the time we left. Thank you D'Angeli for sharing the best of Naples with us.
