Hotel located very close to train station (walk down the left of the square) which was perfect as I didnt particularly enjoy the Naples experience, therefore it was ideal for our rail day trip to Pompeii and to carry on our journey to Sorrento the following day.
Hotel staff really made this trip as on one of the mornings after returning from the breakfast room, one of the male members of staff came and knocked on my door to return my bag i'd carelessly left at breakfast (only containing passports, money, camera, iphone, keys, wallets etc). I gave him a small tip later in the day, and he was so reluctant to accept this, but it really made me feel so at ease in an unfamiliar (and quite scary) city.
Also I had received some pretty nasty bites on my legs whilst in Rome prior to arriving in Naples and my legs had began to get very sore and the bites were looking worse every hour. We went down to ask the man on reception for some advice and he was so lovely and helpful and wrote down what I need to ask the chemist for.
When I think back to Naples, i think of the rubbish piled high in the streets, the random dogs roaming the city, begging children playing instruments on trains, the dodgy back alleys and general uneasy feeling of the place, however I think we couldnt have found a better hotel for our needs and with such lovely helpful staff too!
If i ever have to stay in Naples again, this is the place for me.
