Our family of 4 stayed at the Partenope Relais while in Naples. It has been newly renovated in 2013 and the rooms are beautifully appointed. We had a sea view room and the the view was spectacular. The reception team was very helpful when there was a mix up on the room we were promised and were able to fix the problem and provide us with a more spacious room to accommodate the 4 of us (and our suitcases). The breakfast is great and includes some hot dishes as well as the standard cold buffet. I highly recommend the Partenope Relais and would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are awesome

We stayed here for 5 nights in March 2014 and the hotel is just gorgeous. The rooms are decorated absolutely gorgeous. We had room 106 which was the Julia ROberts room and had a big pretty woman wallpaper behind the bed. The décor was to a really high standard. It had a small bathroom with what seemed top of the range appliances, and a gorgeous shower in the main room. Our room overlooked the bay and had a small balcony to sit out on people watching on the pedestrianized street. I really cant emphasise how gorgeous the room was. It really made our holiday. They provided bathrobes, slippers all the normal shower gel etc., but also a beauty kit and some very nice boxes of chocolates (which I think were free of charge but not sure). Each room has a different theme and although I didn't see inside any of the others I can imagine they were gorgeous. The room was cleaned with fresh towels every day and the receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was open between 7 - 11am which is open later than I have found in other hotels. Breakfast is served in an adjoining restaurant which you can access just from reception. I would definetly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Naples. It was in a good spot, within 5/10 min walking distance from the main shops etc, and just 1- mins away from the centre where the Royal Palace etc. is. Its also on the main strip of bars / restauarats on the bay / harbour, with just a 5 minute walk to the castle nuovo. You can also walk (15/20 mins) to the ferry port where you can catch ferries to capri / Sorrento etc. We hired a car (a bit of a hair-raising experience to drive through Naples). The hotel had a parking facility about 10 mins walk away from the hotel. They also provided excellent service, and each time we went to park they offered to drive us back to the hotel. All in all a fabulous hotel and I would definetly recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the bay are definelty worth the money if you like to sit out with a glass of wine...

If you want to enjoy a seaside hotel in an attractive part of Naples then Relais Partenope is for you. It is slightly hard to find (taxi drivers tend to go straight past it because it's new and the entrance is not on the main Via Partenope).
Don't let that put you off. The reception team is marvellous, welcoming, very good language skills and helpful. You are escorted to your room. Each room is themed on a film star so you won't forget which room you are in! The beds are fantastic - nice and roomy. The shower is excellent. The bath towels are plentiful, fluffy and smell great. The wifi is excellent and reliable. The minibar and snacks are great (don't eat too much!). Breakfast is also exceptional in volume and variety. It's like home from home, All rooms have a view and a peep of the Isle of Capri. The hotel is surrounded by excellent places to eat and to buy your loved one a souvenir of your visit. You can run along the esplanade (Via Partenope) as there is a traffic-free zone in front of the hotel. All in all a 5 star experience and I loved it!

I made the mistake of ignoring the warning about noise on several of the previous reviews here. My boyfirend and I are in our early thirties and I thought being in a 'lively nighbourhood' wouldn't bother us too much. I was very wrong. This new boutique hotel is on the car free part of the sea front but unfortuately my six night stay was far from relaxing.
Starting with the positive aspects, I had a nice sea view room (the Richard Gere room, #119) and the view of the bay was beautiful. The decor was modern and stylish, the room was clean and fairly spacious. The young team of staff are helpful and spoke adequate English. But then there were many buts...
The hotel occupies the first floor of the building and the ground floor is occupied by two restuarants and a British-themed bar, all with outdoor tables. Being in winter, there werent that many people sitting outside but it was already noisy enough and from the passerby. I could clearly hear most of the conversations and if I understood Italian I would have gone crazy. Also the music from the bar/resturants went on until at least 1am every single night. On the Satuarday when we arrived, there were random people laughing and screaming, and some youth playing football on the sea front until 4am. Sunday was similar. Monday and Tuesday were a bit better with most noise dying down by 1am. On my last night there (Wednesday), the Swansea football fans arrived in the British-themed bar downstair and there was all these chanting and table tapping etc until the police arrived at about 2am! This was all happening 10 metre outside my room bacolny. Also, in the morning, there were delivery lorries arriving as early as 7am and the resturant workers getting the outdoor tables ready.
I understand that this was not really the hotel's fault but they really should have invested in double layers of balcony doors rather than just a double glazing door. The sound proofing was totally inadequte and you only need to spend a few nights in any one the the sea view room to know there is a problem. To add to the problem, the hotel allowed workmen to start work in the adjacent room to ours at 9am on the dot for two days in a row (Tuesday and Wednesday). So there were all these drilling and banging to add to my sleep deprivation. To me that was the last straw and showed total disrepect for its guests.
The other small issue was the breakfast, the waiter was nice and the choice was adequate but the hot food (scramble eggs, sausages, bacons) ran out quickly and were never topped up even if I go for breakfast at 9am (breakfast served from 7-11am).

very nice location, hotel clean and modern, and a beautiful seaview with balcony
The only weak point is the breakfast and a little bit noisy by night but this is Napoli after all!!
Try to avoid the room with wall view.. this happened to a couple of friends..

At first, the rooms look amazing. They are large, with design furniture, and an amazing sea view. Then, you realized that there is not really enough space to unpack, that there is not really enough water pressure to enjoy the rain shower, and that he restaurant downstair is noisy (both at night and in the morning). And also that there is no shower gel or soap or anything available in your bathroom (it will not be provided the next morning, and I had to ask for it!)
The breakfast is fine. The staff is happy to please if you report a problem, but is not really proactive.

As a conclusion, it is fine, but there is still room for improvement to be as good as it pretends to be...

This hotel enjoys a wonderful location on a pedestrianised part of the seafront. Most of the rooms have sea views out over the Bay of Naples. The area feels very safe and there's a wide choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. However it's a bit of a hike to the old centre of the city to visit the Duomo and museums.

The hotel is modern, very comfortable, with reasonable sized rooms. Having tea/coffee making facilities was a bonus and we were pleased to find a safe that was easily large enough for a laptop.

Breakfast was OK. The breakfast room turned into an independent restaurant later in the day and the food/service was the best we had during our stay.

We'd definitely recommend this place.
