“Small venue but excellent food”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

Picked up a leaflet for this restaurant from the hotel. The restaurant is very small and run by a former language student. Limited menu, but the speciality is the ragu. Absolutely yummy!!
Staff welcommimg and very helpful. Can pay a set price for the meal or pay by the minute.

Good value and well worth the trip

“a great hazard”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

beautiful home made food for a inexpensive price. love the different ragu and the atmosphere. the owners of that place are all actors and decide to open this friend's family restaurant cause they can't live from their passion. love the concept and the food is just delicious.

“Simple, but delicious”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

They claim to specialise in the slow-cooked, traditional, Neapolitan Sunday ragu. I haven't done the research to know whether their claims have substance, but the ragu certainly does. Rich and unctuous; perfect with the al dente ziti. Throw in an artisan beer or a reasonably priced glass of wine and it's a perfect meal.

“Food war a must!!! Awesome!!!”
Reviewed 20 September 2013 via mobile

I loved the ragú and what made it better was the food war.
The menu is simple, the atmosphere is like a classic Italian trattoria but with a twist...
Outside sits a tv playing the story of the ragú and the rules of the game...

With either pasta or bread, select the weight of your pasta. How long it takes you to eat and drink is how much you pay.
My friend and I shared 250 grams of spaghetti and a bottle of white wine and we finished in 5.14 minutes, putting our bill at 5€ for 2'people I have to say that AWESOME.
Not healthy to eat fast on a regular basis but definitely something that everyone needs to try!
Honestly the ragú is classic slow cooked goodness, the Parmesan is fresh ground and the game makes for a fun meal.

You can always just order at the set menu price if you want to slowly enjoy the savoury flavour of classic Napoli without the rush of a bloated belly!

This was definitely one of the most wonderful and interesting culinary experiences of all my travels and all my life.
I hope it catches on because I will return! If I come back to Napoli just to have another food war!

Also the servers are all multilingual speaking fluent English French and the server we had spoke Finnish and Russian as well.

A+++++

“A great find”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

A young woman named Victoria luckily stopped us on the street to tell us about this new restaurant. We gave it a try and glad we did. Menu is creative, although limited to different ragu dishes. Taste was great, service even more pleasant, especially when we discovered the owner, Manuela took care of us. We would go again!.
