We were approached on the street and given a flyer to this place. We decided to give it a try. Given the rest of the reviews on here, I'm wondering whether we visited the place when it had not long opened (September 2013) because we came a way feeling that they needed to work on a few things: the restaurant wasn't obvious from the street (no sign/icon etc.) and the menus had a number errors on them (French and English version weren't the same). Overall the food was nice but we thought it was expensive for what we got (we took a set menu). We heard another group sat close by who had similar views (only tourists were there and it wasn't busy). Perhaps these were just teething problems.

We were stopped in the street by a young lady giving out fliers for this restaurant, she explained that it was an authentic ragu and she was right the best I have tasted and at only €8 truly great value in the centre of Naples old town. There are a couple of other options but basically this is a place for ragu server with bread or pasta, it’s not fine dining but on a damp January day it was just perfect. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is only a small place so you may need to book until it is warm enough to eat in the larger outside space.

As a tourist, a great experience, but i guess it was the same to all the italian people present there!
Greaaat ragù, really worth it! The staff is really kind and effective, and the prices totally affordable. I still dream about that fizzi with ragù...

A young woman gave us a flyer on the street for this restaurant which is not usually a good sign but she was so lovely that we thought we might try it. The next day we did and we were more than rewarded. Bistro style and tiny the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. We had the very simple set menu of the day of local cheese and excellent procuttio followed by the pasta with the best Ragu sauce I have ever had. We were very sad not to be able to make the seafood supper the next night. I am sure it would have been really good.
We loved the TV playing extracts from every movie ever made where they are eating spaghetti. The service was warm and friendly and the food extremely good value. Wine was good and local.

When a bit desperate on our first evening ever in Naples this little place just round the corner of the Spacca saved us. The young lady that just grabbed us from the street doubled in this tiny trattoria what maybe is the reason for its name.

They both were everywhere and soon we could start with the classic menu out of four, all cruising around the daily dish of pasta with ragu, which was cooked with real meat over hours, very good.

The house wine is fine, the cafe comes in the typical italian household can, what means no crema - but cremina, the sweet sugar coffee foam typical for Naples, but seldom to find. We loved it.

Tables are very close and no room is wasted and there is quite a flow, but that means that you come to know different people very easy in this very family&friends naples atmosphere - from a rich couple form Paris to a wedding photographer to some students from nearby university. Great spot!
