My family and I stayed at Albergo del Golfo for 5 nights and we had a good experience. The room was large and clean, there was air conditioning, and the hotel was in a good location for walking to all of the major sites. The only negatives are the faulty wifi (you have to get a new password every 24 hours and the connection is so slow that many times you just give up) and the cleaning service (they don't change your bed sheets at all after your first night). Other than that, it was a good hotel for the price. Laura, an employee in the mornings during breakfast, is especially nice and has great service! Everyone else speaks very little English.

we liked the hotel very much. Very centrally located... Very pleasant staff (smiling, knowledgeable, always ready to help). Our room was large and comfortable, quiet, calm, clean

my only concerns were the light (too many little lamps everywhere -computer, heating, etc...) that prevented me to fall asleep as fast as I wish I could

and we missed a user's guide to use the phone as well as the air-conditionning :-)

but this is a very tiny nuisance compared to the real pleasure we had to stay at Hotel del Golfo and we certainly will book there again for our next stay in Naples and will recommend it warmly to all our friends and acquaintances

Room Tip: our room opened on the street but it was so calm that it was not even a problem..

the hotel is well situated in the center of the town, calm, and recently nicely renovated (marble floors!). Friendly welcome, spacious rooms with high ceilings, good lighting (!); in the intermediate season (feb/march) the heating does not seem to work very well, but with two blankets its ok.
The bathroom was a bit dark and somber, no place (shelf) to put your things. Overall, a great price/quality ratio, if you don't need a typical american breakfast. at least a great espresso and a chocolat filled croissant will start your day; Italians just don't know how to make good bread.

Spacious clean rooms, walking distance from all the sights and easy to get to from the train station and airport. Can be a little noises at night if the windows are open and don't expect a nice view from your window! Excellent for seeing Naples on a budget.

A clean, modern hotel with excellent rooms and bathrooms located in a great part of Naples. Staff was either dismissive, rude, or totally incompetent. For example, we had an issue with the room safe on our final night and the night clerk refused to help. The safe would not open for some reason. We had our passports, tickets, etc. in the room safe and were leaving early in the morning. The night staff claimed the manager was totally unavailable and we had to wait to morning for the manager to come in and give us the code, which means we would have missed our flight. He seemed unconcerned. I had to Google how to crack a hotel safe, so in case you need it, the override for the room safes is: 123456#.

Room Tip: If you care about service, go someplace else.

Plus: Location is excellent; Room is modern and nice; Breakfest is good;
Bad: No hot water in shower; wi-fi did not work in room (2 trys); and Front Desk (apparent owner) was uninterested in hot water problem. With a nicer front desk, I would return. But given the unpleasant demeanor, I would rather give my money to others.

My family and I (2 adults, 2 children - 9 and 12 yrs) stayed here at the beginning of August. We found the hotel relatively easily - arrived by train and then took the public bus. The hotel is nothing special from the outside but the room we had was really nice. It was huge (especially for Europe), very clean and the air conditioning worked well. The location is convenient for walking to the waterfront, etc. The staff was very helpful when asked for information, directions, etc.
