The rooms in this beautiful old building are small, so we realized upon arrival that the junior suite would be too small with the baby cot added in. The receptionist was very helpful and understanding and a maid showed me other rooms they had available - we ended up booking the "family room" (also too small) as well as the junior suite, and were given a special rate for single occupancy of the room. All rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable.
Our 18-month old was cooed over and welcomed everywhere in the hotel. The American bar was cosy and the barman elusive but friendly. The buffet breakfast offers a large selection of pastries, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruit juice and fruit salads.
There is no restaurant in the hotel although they do offer a minimal room service menu. We followed their recommendations for neighbouring restaurants instead.
The hotel also helped us arrange an excursion to Pompeii, which was cancelled the first day due to bad weather but we managed it the next day and it was fantastic, the driver was talkative and friendly and gave us a lot of extra information - which wasn't his job, so we appreciated the goodwill - we had a truly customized tour of Portici, Ercolano and Naples after Pompeii and enjoyed every minute.
This hotel fully deserves its 4-star rating and we'll definitely go back.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights during recent trip to Naples. Naples is a very crazy driving city where we were on alert just crossing the street to make sure we didn't get run over. Every night after a full day of touristing we came back to this lovely hotel. It's on a side street near posh shops, plenty of restaurants and walking distance to the waterfront. Our room was a regular room (not a suite). Plenty of room. King sized bed. A small table with two comfortable chairs. Also, separate desk. Very clean.
Huge breakfast included. Only complaint was the tables at breakfast didn't get properly cleaned between diners so coffee and food stains not uncommon. Not too appetizing.
Desk staff professional and helpful although not very friendly.
We'd probably stay at another hotel next time just to try something different but I would give this a thumbs up to anyone wondering about this.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. When we checked in the receptionist didn't even lift her head when we were checking in she just asked us our name and said our room number so not a great welcome. We stayed in a junior suite that was very spacious and decorated in a classic style. The hotel is in a safe area surrounded with high end shops and a short stroll from the walk along the sea that is lined with restaurants. At night you hear no noise in your room because the hotel is on a pedestrian street but watch out for the scooters.

We walked to the hotel from the port stop of the airport bus (Alibus), it was about a 15 minute walk. Hotel is in the more modern area of the city, hidden away in a small quiet alley next to a nice shopping street. It's safe and quiet in this area and easy to walk back to the old city.

Staff was excellent and helpful and great service. Nice inner decorum. Room was quite spacious for a city hotel, with all modern amenities including HD TV, fridge and safe (although the safe was made of wood?). No view, as the room looked onto a wall, but not a problem for us.

We loved the amazing fresh breakfast with lots of choice. Hotel is quite expensive for a 4-star but all in all, we were happy with out stay.

We arrived after a long flight from the US and were picked up at the airport by a car that was arranged through the hotel. All went well. We found the hotel to be quite nice and located in a good, safe area. The room was very quiet but there was no real view as it looked out onto a small courtyard. The walk to the waterfront took about 10-15 minutes. I would recommend this hotel unless a waterfront location is desired. As far as Naples goes, it's a big city with more than a little trash on the streets and sidewalks, but we never felt unsafe and we didn't feel the city deserved it's bad reputation. We would return again as a gateway to the Amalfi coast.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Very convenient location, excellent breakfast and lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Contrary to some areas of Naples, the area is very exclusive and safe. Very near the sea front area and a short taxi ride to airport, station and ferry. Hotel does not have a restaurant but there are a wide choice in the immediate vicinity.

Room Tip: It would appear that rooms do not have a view which is not unusual in a city but it could be that th...

During our 2 weeks in Italy, this was one of the nicest hotels that we stayed at for a total of 3 nights. The lobby and rooms are beyond gorgeous, not what you would expect in Naples. Naples is not the seemingly safest city, but this hotel is in a VERY nice and safe neighborhood. It is about 2 blocks away from the ocean and the boardwalk, where you can walk during the day and night and shop/eat, etc. The included breakfast buffet is substantial and high quality. They also offer last minute tours and shuttles at the front desk. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
