“A good hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

This hotel is in a good location, very close to the New Castle, few blocks away to the Humberto gallery and the the main shopping street, street Toledo.
The staff is friendly and the breakfast is very nice.
The bedroom is very good, we couldn´t hear any noise from the street despide the room being facing the avenue.
Wi-fi connection was instant and fast.

Dear Mdm/Sir,
thanks a lot for your good review and the perfect explanation of the situation and the services that we offer, especially the WiFi connection which is usually the last noted one, mostly because of our guests devices problems.
We have a fast, reliable and..working connection! (43Mbit divided 27 rooms, it's just more than fine considering that we're not always full and even then, having the whole hotel connected is a very rare circumstance)
Regards,

Paolo

This hotel is a comfortable and convenient retreat in a very hectic Napoli. The front desk staff are very courteous, friendly, and helpful to recommend places to visit and eat. The hotel itself was comfortable, and mostly clean (except in some of the corners). We paid extra for a deluxe room which was very spacious and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub.

Down sides to the hotel were that the room did not have a view at all (but the size of the room made up for it) and that the queen bed was two twins pushed together (so when someone drifted to the middle of the bed, the beds pushed apart).

Positives above the excellent customer service were the proximity of the hotel between the more upscale harbour area and the old town and the breakfast. There was a great selection of local pastries, cold meats/ cheeses, cereals, fruits, eggs, bacon and sausage. Fresh coffee was a bonus and the view from the breakfast room was beautiful. All and all good value for money and a good retreat from busy Napoli.

Dear Mrs Krystin,
thanks for your great review, all of our staff members appreciate it. as for the 2 single beds shoved togheter is basically a standard here in Italy (and in my experience, other countries too), they're usually very tight shoved with a special topper that is quite hard to fall in the middle, but sometimes it just need to be "adjusted", sorry for that, you can call the reception whenever something like this happens and we'll fix it up (even by the night, we don't sleep!). Actually we do have some rooms with king size mattress, you just need to indicate it in the guest special request box while making the reservation and we'll do our best do assign you rooms with that kind of bedding.
Best Regards,

Paolo

We arrived at Napoli Centrale from Rome and owing to our midday arrival in Naples, decided to walk the 2km along Corso Umberto with it's shops and cafés- this was a wonderful introduction to this fascinating city.
Our initial impression of via Medina was not good: this historic area looked "tired and dirty" with much by way of construction and renovation going on, and too much graffiti spoiling the environment.
But, on entering Palazzo Turchini, any hesitancy disappeared - the welcome was warm and friendly.
Our 6th floor room was, in a single word, excellent. On the quiet rear of the building, we had a view over the rooftops to Mt. Vesuvius in the distance.
WiFi connection was instant and fast. Breakfast on the terrace (included in our room rate) was a great way to start our day - good selection of cereal and fruit, with bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs available - coffee was excellent.
The R2 bus to Garibaldi stopped right at the door; several ristorante, trattoria and pizzerias were a few steps away.
Would we stay here again? Definitely!

Room Tip: Room # 602 was on the quiet, rear of the hotel, with a view to Vesuvius over the rooftops.

Mr Andy,
thanks for your review! the look of "dirt and tired" of the area, as you clearly explained, is due to the escavations taking place in P.zza Municio square. It will end up in december this year and the result will be....stunning! There'll be an archeological park and one of the "Art Metro Underground" stop connected to the main train station of Naples. We invite you for Christmas to enjoy all of these!
Thanks a lot for the appreciation of our Hotel and Staff, we're really glad of it.
Best Regards,

Paolo

Wonderful buffet style breakfast served on the terrase of the highest floor (6th) willl make everyone happy for a start of a fresh new day in Naples! The hotel has a wide selection of sweet pastries, croissants, bread, cakes, various fruits, ham, cheese, bacon, eggs, yogurts, juice, with Cappucino or cafe latte.

The reception staff is friendly and very helpful. They know the good restaurants to meet your need.

The location is central and near the ferry port. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel and subway and cable-car stations and ferry ports are about 5 minutes walk. We could walk to Santa Lucia, the archaeological museum, Spacca Napoli, Galleria and even to Garibaldi Square near the central station.

However, if you have suitcases, it may be better to ask for a transfer service of the hotel on your arrival from the airport.

Rooms are very clean and I especially liked the triple room (301?) with a small patio and a luxurious bath tub. The water pressure is very good and you can really relax after lots of walking. I would surely like to stay at this hotel again!

Room Tip: 301 (TRPL) suite room is a nice room with a small patio and spacious bathroom and large bathtub. 501...

Went to this hotel with my mother in April 2014 for 5 nights while we explored Naples and its surroundings.
Hotel is in a really good location, very close to the marina, historical Naples and the newer part. Also has a bus stop right outside, which was perfect to get a ride to museums or the train station.
The staff were extremely friendly, the waiter in the breakfast room was brilliant at serving everyone, as we think that he was by himself seeing to everybody.
The staff on the reception desk were also very useful at telling us how to get to Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as suggesting nearby restaurants which were all delicious!

We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2014.

Mario, the concierge was very friendly and helpful. We taught us how to get the bus and the train (we traveled to Napoli Centrale by bus twice, once to go to Pompeii and once to catch the train to Rome- very quick and easy).

We enjoyed breakfast each day, pastries, fruit, cereal and a small hot selection. Good coffee!

The room was clean and tidy and of a good size for European hotels. The Wifi was excellent speed.

From this location, very easy walking distance to good local restaurants, via Toledo (shopping) and Piazza del Plebiscitto

Room Tip: Our room (404) had a small balcony overlooking the street,. There is some noise but this should be e...
