We happened upon this restaurant by accident and decided to give it a try, and we were very glad we did. We were greeted with great warmth, seated and were also told were the toilets were, a very helpful touch I thought.
The food is well presented with an innovative take on traditional Italian flavours. On being seated we were given a glass of Prosecco and an amuse bouche and then left to order. Our dishes included anchovies stuffed with almonds with a sweet fruit sauce, risotto cooked in Barolo wine, stuffed paccheri with artichokes and tomatoes and an excellent pork dish. Everything we tasted was well cooked and had good flavours. We chose an excellent white wine from the Alto Adige region of Northern Italy and reasonably priced for its quality.
At the end of the meal we were offered a limoncello which neither of us enjoy as it is very sweet so we were offered a grappa instead which my partner accepted happily. The clientele was mostly locals, but the owners speak good English.
Tip, do not be put off by the crowd from the lively bar over the road. If we ever have the call to go back to Naples we would definitely return to this restaurant.
