We stayed here in a standard room overlooking Piazza Garibaldi for 2 nights in May.
The location of the hotel was handy for us as we arrived at Piazza Garibaldi by bus from the airport. We also went to Pompeii by train the next day and travelled to Venice by train the following day. Unfortunately the area isn't the nicest, a bit dirty and red light district. It is also extremely noisy, the non stop cars beeping their horns is quite comical! However, it didn't bother us too much as we could close the shutters to keep out the noise. Down by the harbour is a lot nicer, about a 40 minute walk or around €10 in a taxi.
Our room was a really good size and there were a lot of nice features in the hotel such as original brick work and lots of marble. It reminded me of an old beautiful museum! We had a lovely big bathroom with a massive bath. There was also a good selection of toiletries if you required shower caps etc. The hotel also provides a pillow menu so we requested some feather pillows as the pillows in the room were too hard for my preference.
Breakfast in the hotel was ok, there were a couple of things missing like cooked foods and there were only boxed Kellogg cereals. Included in the selection was pastries, breads, cheeses, meats and juice. Breakfast is served on the 6th floor and you can eat outside on the terrace which has amazing views! We had some cocktails up on the terrace before going out at night which were well made.
The staff were really helpful at the hotel. What made my stay even better was the hotel giving us our room when we arrived at 10.30am, the staff member really went out his way to find an available room for us even though we hadn't requested early check in.
Overall, I would stay at Una Hotel again and would recommend this hotel if you are using Naples as a base and require to be close to the train station. If you are just visiting Naples then I would suggest staying closer to the harbour area.
