We stayed here one night on the way to Ravello. We arrived without reservations and felt fortunate to get a very nice room. (They were busy). The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a great view to the busy square and street below. The windows and shutters shut out the noise from the traffic. The bathroom amenities were wonderful and the bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels. The dinner on the rooftop terrace was one of the best meals we had in Italy. The buffett breakfast was very good. Internet is available in the lobby with a cost. The staff was very friendly at the front desk, as well as the restaurant. We had a cab called for us to go to the port ( 10 euros) to meet our friends coming in on a ferry. They had arranged for a driver from Ravello Taxi to pick us up at the port for the one hour drive to Ravello. Our experience at the UNA was positive in all ways!

I say this because I was travelling for 2 weeks through Italy and I ended up leaving some very valuable items in my room. In the airport in Cincinnatti, I realized this, called the hotel, spoke to 2 different people and they actually had and kept my items safe.
UNBELIEVABLE. This just shows that the maid and the front desk teams are hontest and fair people.

I enjoyed the rooms and the bar and the experience, but this incident made the hotel really stand out.

A nice, clean modern hotel. For some reason, we were upgraded to a suite, which was great. Great bathroom and shower, comfortable bed. Air conditioner was marginal at best but made the air drier than the very humid outside air. Have to pay for internet connection but the breakfast was included and was good.

Piazza Garibaldi is very dirty and we did not find any good restaurants. The restaurants are basically pizza places with some additional dishes. We did not do it, but it is probably best to eat at the UNA restaurant.

It is easy to get from the train station to Pompeii and Herculaneum on a train called Circumvesuviana. Somewhat less convenient to get to the Archaeological Museum. The hotel is a ten minute walk across the square from the train station. There is a frequent bus, Alibus, from the train station to the airport.

This hotel is very close to the main train station however the area is sketchy. When we arrived there was quite a bit of construction going on around the train area and there was a garbage strike. When you exit the train station, you can easily spot the hotel across the Piazza but the area is busy, noisy and full of cars and buses and it was an obstacle course walking there with our luggage in tow. We stayed one night and only as a starting point for a day trip to Pompeii.

The hotel room was modern, clean and spacious. There were two layers French doors that opened out into the noisy Piazza. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was included which had a large variety of food, eggs, ham, bacon, bread, assortment of pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee and tea etc. Breakfast is served in their restaurant at the top of the hotel and the terrace was also very nice and peaceful for the morning, away from the noise.

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The wifi was not working when we arrived and you do need to pay for either wifi or internet access at their computer terminals, 3 Euros for 30 minutes. We had asked the reception for restaurant suggestion in the area but really it turned out that there were few restaurant choices in the area. We would suggest this hotel only if you were transiting through the city and needed a place to stay near the train station.

Considering the, regrettably, terribly dirty city of Naples this centrally located hotel proved to be our very oasis in town! Clean, airconditioned, tranquile (good windows) despite its location in front of the railway station. Highly recommendable.
