Hotel Piazza Bellini
Ranked #2 of 185 Hotels in Naples
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 12 April 2014

For a first visit to Naples I was conflicted about what hotel to choose. In the end we opted for Piazza Bellini due to the location and that it had a family room. This room has an upstairs mezzanine floor with the main room and downstairs was a sofa bed made up. It had a small terrace. It was quite squashy with not much room to move but still met our needs and was comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious bathroom and had a small fridge. There are lots of common areas and a nice little bar and a beautiful courtyard. Adjacent to the hotel is an excellent restaurant on one side and a cafe/ bar on the other. Staff are friendly and helpful and can help arrange taxis etc. My only comment would be do not take the tours that they promote on their notice board, we went on the Pompeii Vesuvius tour and it was really just a hotel pick up to a central spot where we all got on a big bus and then taken to Pompeii, tour lunch and then drive to Vesuvius, no commentary etc.

Naples is a great city and it gets even better with a great place to stay and Hotel Piazza Bellini, definitely does that. It is located very conveniently, in the center close to eating/drinking places and the historical part, with a lovely jazz bar right behind it. It is modern with charming design details. We stayed in a duplex room and was very comfortable with one double-bed in the upper and one sofabed in the lower part. Breakfast was rich in variety, yummy too. Great catch, don't miss it!

Room Tip: My friends stayed also in a duplex room viewing a garden, was lovely.

Came to Venice for the first time. Very good hotel. Excellent location near museum. Modern and bright hotel in old, gritty area of Naples. Pleasant staff. Extremely helpful with any inquiries. Great buffet breakfast. Just ask for a cappuccino to avoid the terrible American coffee! Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice 3 star hotel in a noisy piazza. We were there Friday and Saturday nights and needed ear plugs. However that's the price of being in an action packed part of the city. Breakfast was terrific, great location in terms of the old city attractions.

We stayed in one of the rooms with a terrace on the fifth floor which faced west. The room was well fitted out and the terrace was great, almost as big as the room. When sitting on the terrace it was so peaceful that you couldn't believe that Naples with its normal chaos was just down at street level below.

The reception staff spoke enough English to handle the everyday enquiries and most of them (one exception!) were friendly and helpful.

The breakfasts were more than adequate with a good buffet selection. After a good breakfast most days we didn't worry about lunch.

The hotel is about 300-400 metres (through the passage where all the bookshops are) from the Dante metro station from which you can now get direct to Piazza Garibaldi so no problem getting the local trains to Sorrento, Vesuvius etc..

I would definitely consider staying there again if I went back to Naples.

Room Tip: The hotel booking websites don't offer the terrace and better rooms. Search out the hotels own w...

When you enter here you leave chaos and dirt of Napoli for cleanliness and quiet of this nice hotel. It's kind of simple design hotel. Because it is located in old building, rooms have high ceiling, corridors are bright and spacey. I was surprised to read that some reviewers had small rooms: mine was big enough, even with nice balcony. You enter hotel via closed gate and courtyard which has entrance to separate breakfast room as well. Free wi-fi was working well.

This hotel looks better from outside than inside. Rooms are small and out of date and though it´s clean it doesn´t do the trick. The location is very good though, would recommend look for something else in this area. Breakfast is terrible, it´s incredible they offer american coffee in the middle of coffee paradise. They have to work a harder on making this be good rather than look.
