I stayed at Hotel Piazza Bellini for 4 nights in June. I had a superior room with a patio on the top floor.

The hotel is a peaceful oasis in the chaos of Naples. The hotel is very safe with a gated courtyard and they close the main wooden door at midnight. So if you have to leave at 5:00 a.m. as I did to catch your flight someone from the front desk opens it for you and waits for the taxi with you. It was very attentive and appreciated.

The breakfast is very good with fruit, pastries, cheese, etc.

I had a room with a patio and a view of the Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. I was amazing! The patio was huge with a table and 2 chairs. The room itself was on the small side and minimalist but was well appointed and had a safe and a fully stocked mini fridge. No noise at night and comfy beds!

It was not as clean as other hotels in the Middle and Northern Italy, but it was excellent by Naples standards which is full of graffiti and not very clean but for some reasons it was one of my favorite city in Italy. Very authentic. Very Italian. The most welcoming people I met in Italy (including Florence and Rome).

The location of the hotel is excellent within walking distance of the Archeologico Museum, Metro entrance, restaurants and stores. A taxi from the airport is around 15 Euro. I would not recommend driving in Naples. Even the taxi ride was an experience itself! A white knuckles ride!

I would recommend Hotel Piazza Bellini and if possible, splurge on a superior room with a patio. The view well worth it! And if you book via their website you get free wifi, a free drink and a souvenir pasta gift.

Room Tip: Splurge on a room with a patio and a view of the Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. It is simply amazing how it is beautiful and inspiring.

After a death defying 15 minute taxi ride from Naples airport and being dropped off about 500 metres downhill from the hotel and an interesting negotiation of trucks, cars, road blocks, etc we arrived at this oasis in Piazza Bellini which is a haven for nightlife with numerous bars, restaurants, and live music. Just around the corner from Via Toledo the main shopping strip one can negotiate many lane ways with heaps of second hand book sellers and shoe stores. For eating you must do yourself a favour and go down Via San Pietro a Miella and have a pizza at the famous De Matteo or Sorbillo pizza shops where the pizzas are just devine - that's Naples for you! This city is not the cleanest in Italy by a long way but it is interesting and has it's own character and worth a look. We walked down to the port of Molo Beverello (about 25 minutes) and took the fast ferry for Euro 42 for 2 to Capri for the day which is such a superb and beautiful place to visit and a must see and do! Just up the road from the hotel is the Archeological Museum but that end of the city is not overly attractive but you gotta do it. Now the hotel - it is superb, secure, clean, new and fresh, fantastic and helpful staff, with an absolutely delightful breakfast that caters for ALL tastes. An interesting side is the blackboard in the breakfast room with each table having chalk where you can write your own message just like a guest book. We loved this place it is the best!!!!

We just stayed there in July and loved it. It's perfectly located, clean, quiet so one can sleep in if they like, great breakfast with a lot of choices, great wifi and the staff were very helpful. We could walk to all of the sites we wanted to see quite easily and there are some of the best restaurants within a few blocks (Sorbillo anyone?).

Naples is a very busy place - and with the crazy streets full of people and the graffiti all over the buildings EVERYWHERE we were worried about the hotel and the area it may be in. We needn't have been - it was LOVELY!
There is a gate to be buzzed in to (so you have that nice bit of privacy) into a gorgeous courtyard where we had many a bottle of prosecco. The hotel is used for art exhibitions and you'll notice all over the walls are little art drawings and quirky images. Theres a small bar downstairs which is accessed by the reception - the receptionists were all very helpful and nice!
Our room was a decent size and was prefect for what we needed. Very modern feel to it. Nice bathroom. No view however but this wasnt an issue for us.
Breakfast was in a seperate building opposite the court yard which was actually a bit too hot - the air con could do with being on here. And if you go first thing in the morning the water for the coffee/tea was not hot at all (and i really cannot drink warm tea). This was disappointng.
The location was good - near the National Archeological museum and the metro - but just doing a city walk nearby was nice.
