Compared to Rome, there are relatively few upmarket and large apartments for rent in Naples. This apartment proved to be a good choice for our family of three. The combination of a very modern apartment in a very old building works surprisingly well. The roof terrace was ideal for summer evening dinners and relaxation. The owner, Patrizia, was very professional to deal with while his manager, Fabrio, went out of his way to be helpful, even to the extent of finding us an excellent driver, Enzo, who we ended up using almost every day to see all that Naples and the Amalfi Coast has to offer. Naples is not an easy city to get around and having Enzo to drive us made all the difference. Patricia, Fabrio and Enzo were a winning combination in every respect.
Beautiful apartment with a wonderful roof terrace. In a good location within walking distance of Via dei Tribunali and the Archaeological Museum. Surrounded by restaurants with a supermarket just around the corner. Fabio was absolutely wonderful, he recommended restaurants in the area and was extremely helpful and responsive when we accidentally blew a fuse.
We stayed one week at this lovely apartment right in the centre of Naples. The location of the apartment is fantastic, nearby to everything you would want to visit and very convenient for some very good (and reasonable) restaurants. There is a good supermarket approximately 4 to 5 minutes walk from the flat which stays open until 8.30 pm and is also open on Sundays. As regards getting around, there are many things of interest within easy walking distance (Archeogical Museum (incredible), Duomo, San Giovanni a Carbonara, Museo MADRe, Chapel of Sansevero (which houses the Veiled Christ and, downstairs the anatomical models - both a "must see"), VIa Constantinopoli and Piazza Belllini (approx 15 mins walk) are good for lunchtime restaurants and are also lively in the evening. Other sights such as Palazzo Reale, Castelnuovo and Piazza Plebiscito are a 10 to 15 minute taxi drive away, current cost approx 10 Euros and taxis are easily available on Via Foria which is the nearest main road to the apartment, there is also a metro station nearby. The photographs do not do the apartment justice and the roof terrace, with views of Vesuvius, is beautiful, where we spent most of our time when we were not out and about. Patrizia, the owner is very welcoming and Fabio who manages the apartment is very charming and extremely helpful and informative. We would definitely stay at this apartment again when and if we return to Naples. One minor observation - if you did want to fully self cater the kitchen could do with one or two more items - kitchen knives, chopping board, bottle opener, tea towels and oven proof dishes, but I guess most people don't come to Naples to cook!
