“Its good reputation is well deserved”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014 via mobile

Expect some waiting time to bene seated and a barebone, though quick service. Pizza's delicious and Coca-Cola s bottled in glass, which istituto a plus. And it's cheap. I paid 6€ for a margherita, a frittatella (don't miss it), cola and water. Do you want to experience a real popular friggitoria and pizzeria is? Go there. Cheap, simple and delicious.

“Soggy, soggy, soggy”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

Yes, you need to wait, yes the waiters are dismissive, yes its rustic and not a polished restaurant…thats fine, its what we expected and its cheap…but the food is average, average, average. If you like soggy pizza, raw pizza dough in the centre, cheese that starts to congeal in your stomach…this is your dream, best pizza ever place! If the food was any good, actually wouldn't mind the rustic little place's atmosphere!

“Great Neapolitan pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

A friend recommended di Matteo to me. I knew it was going to be great based on the ridiculously long line to get in. I was not disappointed at all. Pizza and a beer for less than ten Euros. The seating is limited and tight, but it is well worth it.

“Pizza Heaven”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

OK. It can't get better than this! This is hands down, the best pizza in the world! You'll never be the same. No more to say.
If you are in Naples and even remotely like pizza, you are doing yourself a disservice to miss going here. Prepare yourself, there could be a line.
But this one is worth it! All others pale by comparison.

“Great al forno”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

We ate at the little hole in the wall for lunch having an al forno and an arranchini. Aside from the fact that we stood at the front of the queue of aggressive Italians and were ignored for nearly ten minutes the wait was worth it because the food was amazing. And for only €1 each you can't complain.
If you're willing to put up with the muscle its definitely worth the pain!!
