As soon as i checked in my room, i found the room a bit too small for my liking. Everything was clean, bathroom was clean but that`s where it ends. The location of this hotel could have been alot better. İt`s about a half hour walk to all the major sights and that`s including the double decker bus tours aswell :( The breakfast was no good at all whatsoever, There was hardly any real foods to eat. İt was just mostly pastry`s and cakes unfortunately. The wifi kept losing connection, i had no wifi for 2 full days which is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. This hotel is more like a 2-3 star hotel.. Sadly, i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dear Guest,

Thank You so much for Your review and Your stay here at Palazzo Salgar. We are always glad to receive our precious Guests’ cooperation to improve our Stay proposals.

We really appreciated Your comments about our rooms; our Housekeeping Dept. day by day ensures a high quality standard of cleaning; well renowned thing among our Guests.

As indicated by other Guests’ reviews here on Tripadvisor, our Property has a strategical position in the City: just at 02 minutes walking from Via Duomo (one of the main Streets of the Town where are located a lot of Museums, City Cathedral and the entrance to “Spaccanapoli” – Historical Centre), 100 meters from Maritime Station (Ferries to Gulf Islands and Sicily), 10 minutes walking from local train to Pompeii, Herculaneum or Sorrento and just at 15 minutes walking from Naples Central Railway Station as well as 03 kilometers from A3 Highway access.

It is very unusual for us reading Your comments about our Breakfast; our Buffet is usually defined very rich respect to Italian Standards; it offers traditional cakes and pastries (the world famous Sfogliatelle and Pastiera), scrambled eggs, mini-sausages, bacon, salads, vegetables, etc. . Our Food and Beverage Staff works constantly to satisfy all Guests' needs with a kind and a fast service.

We’re not sure about Your stay period but our Quality Control System didn’t report any issue about WIFI in past weeks; the service is usually reviewed as fast and well performing.

Hoping to have You again as our Special Guest (and sure to receive a new 5 point review, with "Very Good at all" as main Title :) ), we wish You a wonderful day.

Kind regards,

Palazzo Salgar Napoli

We stayed for one night and found the hotel easily accessible from the port where we arrived by ferry. The hotel is very clean but no longer immaculate (bathroom a little tired) this stands out as design very contemporary. Breakfast provided for our very early checkout (4am, nice touch). Relatively quiet for where it is located.

Had two nights here and enjoyed the experience. We had a junior suite with a massive balcony overlooking the docks. The room was very well appointed, with all you could need, including a jacuzzi bath! The bed was comfortable, and extra pillows were available in the room if required. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of food. The bar has a happy hour each evening, but be warned, the drinks aren't any cheaper, they just provide a bowl of nuts and crisps for free. Having said that, the cocktails are nice, but you may have to track the barman down!

Stayed for three nights arranged by our tour operator and were very happy with every aspect of the hotel.

The room was very big and the beds very comfortable and quiet and we slept well.

Water was hot and plenty of it. Wifi was fast and free.

The included breakfast was by good with a big selection of hot and cold meals.

Located close to everything, fifteen minutes to the station and Capri island port as well as the old city centre.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights in the middle of September. The area is very convenient , near the city centre and the port. The staff and receptionists are very friendly and very helpful. The room was fairly big and clean. It had a tv, fridge, safe, hairdryer and toiletries. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel wifi was terrible, we had no connection for the entire two nights we stayed in the hotel. The taps in the bathroom and shower are so hard to use, difficult to adjust. The breakfast room was freezing, the a/c was very cold. I don't really think that this hotel is value for money.

Dear Guest,

Thank You so much for Your review and Your stay here at Palazzo Salgar. We are always glad when our precious Guests review us and allow us to improve our Stay Experience proposals.

We really appreciated Your reporting about almost totality of offered services (Strategical Location, Staff, Room and Buffet Breakfast). It's very unusual for us reading Your comments about our WIFI: we offer it for free to all our Guests and it is tested day by day to ensure high performance of use; after a check with our Quality Control System we received no report about WIFI during Your stay period.

Easy instructions of use about taps are showed in every bathroom in Hotel; we are always pleased to remain at our Guests' disposal for further support.

Hoping to have You again as our Special Guest (and sure to deserve a new 5 point review :) ), we wish You a great day.

Kind regards,
