“Awesome Resort and Staff”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

From the minute we walked through the door the Pompei Resort staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern, clean, and thoroughly stocked with anything you could need for your stay. The bathroom was ultra modern and the shower was almost to sophisticated to use without a manual. The restaurant wasn't the best but worth the visit and again the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free Internet and the free parking was a great benefit as you can walk to the center of town and the site without hassle of driving or parking. And one last major benefit of Hotel Pompei was the amazing price we paid! Highly recommend for your visit to the Pompei area.

We selected this hotel based upon the positive reviews that it has on this site and were not disappointed. The junior suite was fine for the four of us, with a bunk bed brought in for the two small ones. The food in the restaurant was very tasty, with the pasta dishes being highly rated by all. The local red wine went down a treat too. Breakfast was a good selection of cereals, pastries and cold meats and cheeses for those who wanted them.

The staff were all most charming, and those at the front desk were particularly helpful.

The wifi worked fine, and was free of charge. Accessible downstairs only, though.

We walked to the ruins from the hotel, but there is a shuttle service available if you require it.

No qualms in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: There is no pool! The room that we had was fine, being a junior suite on the top floor.

We stayed at this hotel for one night only but they couldn't have been more helpful. The staff were extremely kind and willing to assist us in anyway they could, booking our onward travel for us and even opening the restaurant an hour early because we were hungry!

The hotel itself was clean and our room was comfortable and a good size. The hotel has good wheelchair access throughout and the bathroom had a really good standard of adaptation (the best wheelchair access bathroom I have seen in Italy). The food was very nice (although the English translations in the menu are not totally accurate leading to a bit of a Russian roulette dining experience!) and the shuttle service between the stations and the hotel was very useful. The shuttle itself though doesn't have wheelchair access for any chair that can't fold up.

The ruins are only about 10 minutes from the hotel so it is very well situated with good views of Mount Vesuvius.

All in all, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Pompeii.

Great hotel with good size bedroom + comfortable bed. The power shower with massage setting is amazing!!! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Despite slight far from the Ruins, the hotel provides shuttle service between the Ruins and the hotel, making journey easier. The staff even offered shuttle to drop us off at the train station when we asked about the trains going back to Rome. In addition, it is only 15-20 minute walk to the town centre where you find most restaurants and cafes, why not take a leisurely stroll when you are on holiday in a lovely town?!!

Pompei is a place to visit once in a lifetime, a staying at the Pompei Resort is highly recommended. Another point to mention, there's a lovely local restaurant called Add'u Mimi, which is another place u must drop by during your visit.

This hotel is very nice and seemed to be the place for receptions. The staff were excellent with providing service and speaking multiple languages. The rooms were very modern/retro.. you can see Mt. Vesuvius from the backside and side... there is free breakfast every morning made of random fruits, pane (breads), speck (hams), e formaggi (cheeses) and top if off with an italian caffe (coffee) of your choice... only a 5 minute drive to the ancient site... the hotel has a partner caffe near where you can park for free and walk a few blocks to the site. They will provide all info and maps of the area. I spent 2 nights here and it is ideal to go to Caserta from here.. only 15-20 min drive. Very easy commute. I would definitely stay here again!!

The Pompei Resort Hotel was probably the best hotel that we stayed in during our 3 months of travelling around all of Europe. The hotel was about 15 minutes walk from an entrance to the ruins. We took the resort shuttle to the main entrance and hired audioguides (a must!) which we had to return to the main gate to get our ID back. This was a 40 minute walk back to the hotel, which was absolutely no problems, even after walking around the ruins for the whole day. For all those who complain about having to walk for 15 or 40 minutes, one would have to ask why you are even on holiday?

I would definately stay here again! Very friendly and helpful staff, nice comfortable rooms and a great variety of sweet and savoury food for breakfast.
