“Perfect hotel for stay in Pompei”

My wife any I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and the room was very confortable and clean, the hotel breakfast included in the stay also had a very good food selection.
The Front-desk service was outstanding and they really made us feel welcome!
The hotel fare include parking that was right across the street with really easy access.
The hotel is right at the Pompei ruins exit so very close to get back once you have completed a very long visit of the historical ruins.
We highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed here in May and was very pleased with the hotel and location. It is right across the road from the Pompeii ruins, which although is not the main entrance, we felt that we avoided most of the crowds by entering by the less busy back entrance, 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff were very helpful with location information including restaurant recommendations and help with local transport. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and close to shops, bars and restaurants. We were there over the May bank holiday weekend but the prices were very reasonable. Although the room's décor was slightly dated, it was comfortable nevertheless. The breakfast was fairly limited but tasty and served in lovely surroundings. This is an ideal hotel for visiting Pompeii and I would highly recommend.

I recommend staying at Hotel Forum in Pompei. When we arrived after a (very) long drive, the main street of Pompei was frantic and stressful. The staff at Hotel Forum were so welcoming and so attentive, we felt immediately comfortable and "at home".
The rooms are good, clean and comfortable . Our one disappointment was the restaurant, where the food was just okay, and one of our meals came out 20 minutes after the others, without any explanation or apology.
But that aside, I highly recommend it as a place to stay when visiting Pompei.

Hotel Forum was a very affordable and comfortable place to stay for our visit to Pompeii. The room was tight, but very functional and we enjoyed and used the little balcony outside the room for a late afternoon snack.

We planned to do a stop in Pompeii on our way to Rome from our vacation in Puglia. It cut our trip in half. We debated staying in Pompeii which is a MASSIVE tourist area or heading on towards Naples, before heading to Rome the next day. So we decided we didn't want to venture into a major centre for what would amount to a sleepover and booked the Hotel Forum in Pompeii.

As we drove twoards Pompeii, we were a bit worried about what might await us at the hotel. Economy in the surrounding towns/streets seemed very depressed. We could only imagine what awaited us at our hotel...I was envisioning a motel type accommodation. Given Pompeii is a huge tourist attraction, it is filled with street vendors and tons of tourists. Google maps led us directly to the hotel which was smack in the middle of the busiest area.

We pulled into the Hotel Forum's driveway and found ourselves in a wonderful oasis in the middle of a dessert of junky, touristy stuff. They had wonderful gardens filled with trees and foliage...apparently you can dine in that area, but we didn't stay long enough to check it out.

Went into reception to find a clean contemporary hotel with lovely staff. They quickly checked us into our Superior Rooms which were very roomy and clean. Only complaint...the beds are hard. Other than that, everything else was great. They include free breakfast and parking about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Also a 10 minute walk to a Pompeii ruins entrance. Location couldn't have been better.

After spending a day touring Pompeii, we returned to our hotel to enjoy free hors d'oeuvres in the small lobby bar, accompanied by paid drinks. We asked for a restaurant recommendation, but the owner was at the hospital with his wife who was giving birth. Apparently that was the only good restaurant in Pompeii! So we dined in the Forum's restaurant that night, which was hosting a tour group. The food was good and the wine even better. Breakfast the next morning was tasty as well with hot and cold items. The dining area is full of windows and light...very nice.

Would highly recommend this place. A good 4 star hotel.

Room Tip: Ask to have a room away from the Main Street.

This hotel was really convenient across from the ruins. Staff was wonderful. We arrived mid-afternoon and were hungry, the kitchen was closed but they did give us pizza and salad.
We ate under a grape arbor (with grapes hanging!) in the gorgeous garden. What was the "not so good"? Our large room had a sort of sitting room and separate bedroom. It was the hardest bed we have every slept on - we could have been on the floor and the pillows were like bolsters.
The bathroom had a shower stall that was 2' x 2' tiny with a difficult plastic shower curtain on two sides. I should have asked if there was a smaller room with a bigger shower but it didn't seem that it would be as inconvenient as it was. Breakfast was good. And, again, staff was really helpful.

Room Tip: I know they have rooms with better bathrooms - ask to see the bathroom before you unpack. I'm a...

Our sat nav took us the wrong way and after half an hour of cobbled streets and crazy Italian drivers with numerous near misses we arrived at the hotel. We were early so I popped in to see if we could check in. The receptionist was lovely and directed me to the car park opposite. We booked in were given room 35 on the 2nd floor. When we got to the room it was okay but it was the room we had seen on an earlier review overlooking the school rugby pitch, we were hoping for something a little more special. We went down to reception, asking if it was possible for a front facing room. All of the standard rooms were booked but they had a one junior suite left at a cost of over 200 euros per night. We winced and said the other room would do but the receptionist said that as we had pre paid, we could have it for 110 euros. It was worth every euro extra, king size bed, en suite to die for, lovely sofa and balcony overlooking the ruins and Vesuvius. The hotel is opposite one of the entrances to the ruins and we were impressed that if we wanted to experience Pompeii at night they recommended an excellent restaurant within walking distance. Breakfast at the hotel was outstanding, the normal Italian fare but with the addition of scrambled egg with spinach and hot smoked sausages...lovely. The car park ticket was stamped each day and we have to say that every member of staff from the receptionists to the young caretaker were all friendly, polite and extremely helpful. From what we could see, this is the best hotel to stay at in Pompeii for service, parking and access to the ruins and motorway. After kicking the sat nav, it found us a 5 minute route back to the motorway (it had some help from the receptionist). Would definitely recommend but spend a little extra for a room with a view, it's worth it.
