Great hotel very shabby chic! Very reasonable priced, with lovely big airy rooms. Undergoing a renovation programme at the moment that was initially off- putting but once there was not a problem, Very helpful reception staff. Fab position for getting into Pompeii before the crowds. The breakfast was a lovely spread, though the americano coffee lacked coffee!! They do serve a limited evening meal service which we took advantage of and the pizza was delicious. The bar area whilst small was very cozy and thy did an amazing spread of nibble every evening for you to graze on whilst sitting and planning your next day over a glass of Campari soda!

Room Tip: room over looking the inner courtyard is less noisy as the main street can be very busy. Try the ev...

This hotel is so great a value. We were pleasantly surprised as this was the least expensive hotel on our trip and certainly ranked as the best. The staff are friendly and eager to help with anything you require. The rooms are luxurious and clean. The location is directly across from the entrance to ruins. Highly recommend the hotel. It was even amusing when the safe would not open. It is opened with a credit card or a card the front desk supplies. It apparently broke. The staff were there to help immediately and ended up taking it away to be "opended". We could hear the machinery used. The contents were promptly returned and new safe was in place the next.
Wonderful experience and was needed as the hotel experience in Florence was below standard. Hotel Forum made us feel welcome and well treated again.

After a week in Positano, we spent our last night in Pompeii. The hotel Forum offered a friendly welcome and clean and efficient stopover. Easy free parking close to the hotel, and an entrance into the ruins directly opposite. An oasis of calm in the tourist mania of Pompeii town. We had 2 rooms- a renovated deluxe room with views of Vesuvius, (very smart room), and a classic room (unrenovated, no view, but perfectly adequate). The lady on reception was incredibly efficient and friendly, spoke fluent English to us, and German to the next guests. Nice garden and breakfast room/restaurant.

A three day culture break in the bay of Naples with 'er indoors... nice romantic time away. Hotel is OK, clean and in the middle of town, and opposite one of the entrances to the Pompeii ruins. Our room was clean and well appointed, although I would have liked a kettle for tea :), but clean and everything works.

Breakfast definitely keeps you going to lunch - all continental - and with good coffee.

See my other reviews for attractions and restaurants... and allow three days to do it properly.

Not a bad hotel...some rooms need some maintenance and there is work going on at the moment.. Staff were helpful and let us leave our bags in their office. Good restful garden and the hotels location for Pompeii ruins can't be be bettered. It is a 200mts from the southern gate.

Arrived in Pompeii to find it a little to tacky tourist. Had spent the previous 10 days on the Amalfi coast where yes there are a lot of tourist but there is not the assult by people trying to rip you off.
So we were so happy to enter this amazing hotel. Beautiful design tasteful gardena enchanting breakfast room. And it was the best breakfast of the trip. Not as carb loaded as described, eggs scrambled with spinach.
Fab balcony looking over the garden wish we had eaten there in the evening. Thought we should venture somewhere else and it was disgusting. Oh well you live and learn if it is the most comfortable place stay there and run across the road to the ruins that is a perfect trip.

This was a great choice as the hotel is located opposite the entrance to Pompeii. It also has free parking. Perfect location to explore Pompeii. Staff we're very helpful. Have recommended this hotel to all my friends.
Only negative was the extremely hard bed.

Room Tip: I would ask to have a room that is not on the main road.
