This would have to be one of the finest wine and food experiences so far. The food and wine is sourced from the Campania region. That is a cultural experience in itself. Yuri our host helped us with our choices and it his passion for the region is paramount. Jam and local honey were the perfect match for the various cheeses from buffalo , sheep, the cured meats and the bruschetta . Do not skip the desert, WOW . It is definitely a must.

We had a superb meal here. The menu is in Italian only but we were offered a variety of local Italian dishes and wine which we loved. Highly recommended

My husband and I were in Pompei for one night, and our wonderful host Martina at La Casa di Plinio B&B (if you're going to Pompei this is undoubtedly one of the best places you can stay - check it out on tripadvisor.com) suggested we eat at one of her favorite restaurants - Vincanto. It is not in a touristy part of town at all, you wouldn't think it was much just from the outside, but once inside it is beautiful. The atmosphere is very romantic and the food - delicious. It's not your typical kind of restaurant though. Basically you get a choice of meal sized antipasto dishes - you'll enjoy cured meats, cheese, bruschetta, different types of pickled or marinated or sun-dried vegetables, wonderful wine, and amazing locally made honey and marmalade to accompany the different types of cheeses. Oh, and the dessert is fantastic so make sure you treat yourself! It is WELL worth it.

The host, Yuri, was an absolute delight. He spent a lot of time with us making sure we were happy and got the right types of dishes for us, and regaled us with stories about his favorite place in the world, Napoli. We had no interest in going there but after talking to him, we are now very excited to plan our trip.

Basically you go to Vincanto to experience a different way of eating, a beautiful ambience, wonderful wine, and delightful hosts. We very much enjoyed our night here and you will too.

Do not go to Vincanto expecting pizza or pasta. Except for the soup and the bruschetta, none of the food here requires heating. On offer are cheeses, sausages, salads, and giant-sized bruschetta with many interesting toppings (for example porcini mushrooms, or yellow tomatoes and oil). The wine list is very long and the prices are low -- for one bottle we paid half of what we had paid for the same wine in a different restaurant a week earlier. The proprietor will make suggestions about food and wine, and everything we tried was excellent. There is also a long list of craft beers, not of much interest to us but impressive nevertheless.

Very nice place, good food (slow food based, authentic products from the area) and a splendid selection of wine. The service was really great, very kind, personalized, they truly care about the individual preferences of their clients dedicating time and attention to make sure you're enjoying the food and wine. So different from all the touristic places in Pompeii, it is absolutely worth of taking a walk of few hundreds meters away from the center to reach Vincanto!
And the owner, Yuri, has very good advices on what to see in Naples as well, many thanks :)
