We spent 3 nights here in July as a family of four. We arrived at the Trentalia train station, which is about 100 yards from the hotel. From the start the staff went out of their way to be helpful and we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was good, the breakfast plentiful and it was nice to have a glass of something in the garden after a hot day's sightseeing. I disagree with people who say you're better off staying in Sorrento-Pompei is a small town, but it doesn't feel touristy away from the ruins and there are at least two good restaurants, which we sampled. It also felt completely safe, unless the odd stray dog freaks you out.

We booked this hotel just the day before, having decided at the last minute to stay overnight. This booking was based on tripadvisor and expedia reviews. These were spot on. The Hotel is up a narrow side alley but has free, safe car parking. The hotel reception was clean, the receptionists all spoke excellent English and were very helpful indeed with advice and directions to all nearby attractions. We were roomed in the Hotel Diana annex, about 50 yds away and in a nearby courtyard. On entering, the building appeared a little dusty and dingy, but our room, marble floored, very well decorated and immaculately clean was very good indeed. The window offered very little view. The annex, whilst very quiet, was just 50 yds from the town main square, which was very nice and had numerous dining options nearby. It was a 200yd level walk to the entrance of the Pompeii historic ruins at the amphitheatre end.
Breakfast the next morning was in the basement of the main hotel building, buffet and continental style in the immaculate dining room. Plenty of it, very good quality indeed and with very good service.
If I was to return to Pompeii, this is most definitely the Hotel that I would choose. I would unhesitatingly recommend it to others seeking location, cleanliness, customer service and value.

Room Tip: Don't be put off by the annex. The rooms are very good indeed. Seek advice from reception on all aspects of your visit as their English is good and their knowledge excellent.

This is "the perfect" hotel. Perfectly clean, close to train and center, personal and gentle service, good price, amazing atmosphere, beautiful garden with all kind of citrus!! you can take breakfast in the garden and aperitif in the afternoon too.

Room Tip: Mine, in the second floor with street window, was perfect. not noise at all, good light, perfect bathroom and decoration.

Great find in Pompei - 5 minutes walk from the station and bus stop; 15 minutes walk to the ruins. Staff were extremely friendly and informative. Room was clean, small but comfortable. The garden out the back was a real treat: lined with orange trees, we enjoyed refreshing cocktails there after a strenuous afternoon at the ruins (that are absolutely fantastic, though sadly neglected due to lack of funding). When we took the train to Herculenaeum the following morning, our two friends stayed behind and enjoyed a peaceful morning reading in the garden. This is a generational family run hotel - not luxurious but more than adequate for a stop over in Pompei to visit the ruins.
