“Beautiful frescoes”
Reviewed 15 June 2012

This attraction is at about the furthest point of the Pompeii excavations but well worth the walk. Beautifully preserved frescoes and intricate tile floors. Also a couple of plaster cast bodies.

“Must visit”
Reviewed 29 May 2012

I know you are already walk for 2-3 hrs, but this house can not miss it. Look at the wall painting, color after 2000 years, ceremic at floor, the designed so classic.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

After seeing the rest of Pompeii, I was definitely expecting more. This was about five to ten minutes from everything else so I thought it was going to be good. The only thing special were the bodies but you could see those in some other houses and a bunch by the cafeteria. Not sure what the hype was about

“Worth the walk”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

Make sure you see the Villa dei Misteri, which is near the edge of the site. It's a little walk to get there, but well worth it.

“It is the best of all the tour”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

I enjoyed the frescoes of Villa dei Misteri.
There are some immagines about the cerimony of wedding.
No archeolog knows exactly what do they represent.
Probably they refer to the mysteries connected with the cult of the god of wine Baccus.

I enjoyed everything.
It is the best part of Pompei but it is quite far from the center of the city.
That's why normally the tours don't show this place.
I was lucky because these guides bring the people overthere even if it is necessary to walk a bit more.
