This is a gorgeous hotel with delightful views. If you have the opportunity, request a room in the middle - there are two floors of five rooms, and while each has a balcony the end room [where we stayed] has the smallest balcony. The hotel is just up the hill from the best restaurants in Procida; staff are super friendly; and the bar/breakfast area is perfect for a post-beach improvised picnic if you've been over-indulging.

We have visited the island of Procida many times over the years and when we discovered La Casa Sul Mare we would never stay anywhere else . They accommodated my wife and I providing us with a beautiful room with a huge terrace to enjoy the sun and spectacular views . The owners Giovanna and Franco gave us very personal service and their staff assisted us in any of our needs . Having a delicious breaks fast outdoors in their garden enjoying the views while having an espresso was magnificent !!
On various other trips to Procida we had other family join us and they also had the same wonderful experience .
They recommended great restaurants and local drivers for transfer services to the ferry terminal and island tours .
We are planning on visiting Procida again in Oct and will be sure to make reservations at the La Casa Sul Mare once again. We can't wait . Joe & Arlyne Fusco

It's all already been said. This place is really lovely. Don't know what's best, the view or the private terrace to enjoy if from! The rooms are airy with really high ceilings, clean, simple but elegant. There's also a pretty little garden for breakfast. Be prepared for a reasonable climb to find it but it's worth every step.

We stayed here over Easter 2013 to see the Good Friday procession and get over our jet lag from Australia. We stayed here about 5 days - probably a bit long to stay on the island at this time of year (it was windy!) but enjoyable nonetheless. The room was lovely and clean, small but everything you need. NB there is complementary wifi but because the hotel is made of stone the signal doesn't really work so you can get internet in the breakfast room and outside that's about it.
The owners of the hotel are lovely and will do anything to help you - they recommended and booked restaurants for us and booked cabs.
Things to note: a lot of the cabs on the island are "minicabs" without suspension - because the streets are so narrow.
- everything is closed for 4-5 hours during the day, including supermarkets. We slept in and then stepped out into empty streets! nothing to do but have a long lunch.
Now, the easter procession - worth watching. pretty much the whole town is involved and so much effort is made on the floats - it is a "competition" between the parishes for the best float - and they start teaching the males of the family very early on how to carry the floats - little kids had their own mini floats to carry.

We went to Procida just to sample it - and were sorry we only stayed on night. Procida is bewitchingly pretty and thankfully, way off the tourist radar. People seem to always head to Capri - which is actually a good thing as mass tourism would spoil this place.
The hotel is gorgeous - we were two of a handful of guests there so no noise whatsoever from adjoining rooms, check-in was seamless and friendly and our room was exactly as requested. We had to wait a few minutes for it to be ready (no more than 10 min) and were offered drinks while we waited - nice touch. The room was spotless, beds comfy and the terrace had a perfect view of the marina.
The staff were so lovely and helpful. There was a restaurant I wanted to try that had a boat shuttle, so they called ahead and asked the boat shuttle to wait while we ran down the stairs and hopped aboard.
Breakfast was good - the usual European choices and some great coffee, served in a very pretty garden.
I hope to return and can't recommend this place more highly.

We visited Procida in October and it's perfect because all the tourists are gone and it's just the locals left. The hotel was fairly empty which was nice, made it feel more about us. The room was great - clean with the best views. We had an enormous balcony. The grounds were pretty and the hotel was in a great location. Easy to walk to from the ferry.

Would go back hands down to this hotel.

We stayed here for a week, using it as a relaxing base to explore Napoli, Ischia & Pompeii.

Procida is a gorgeous little island with killer views, crystal clear water and fantastic food.

Case sul mare is in the best location (close to great restaurants, the best views and a quick walk to the port), the rooms are lovely with terraces that face directly onto the sea with views to die for, the staff are very helpful and some speak excellent English.

Breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit, fresh juice, good coffee, tea, bread, croissants, home made cake and marmalade. And the garden setting is so beautiful, you can sit there and look at the view for ages while you breakfast.

The company they recommend for scooter/car hire is great, we hired both during our stay but I'd recommend a large scooter as its easier to park and let's you go on those tiny streets!

The only downsides are the noise from people on the terraces either side of you, and the noisy aircon. There's free wifi but they no longer pick you up from the port, and the taxi is 15-18 euro. We didn't agree with their recommendation for best restaurant - try la pergola or la lampara for the best food and overall experience.

I would definitely stay here again, we had a magical week here and were very sad to leave!
