We decided to stay in this hotel the last night before flying from Rome due to the convenient location. It is next the Metro station, and at walking distance to main attractions, so location wise, excellent. However.... this is not even worth the price we paid.... The picture they show is not even the right side of the street. We were right in front of it, and were mislead by the picture so ended up going around Piazza Barberini with our bags, not fun. When we finally found the right door with the little sign on the door bell. After we were given access (as if we were visiting friends at an apartment building) we entered and realized there was no elevator, and you must go up 3 floors, in a very hot staircase (this was middle of the summer, and early afternoon). There is no lobby, just a little "desk" in the last stair landing. The clerk was very helpful, he actually met us halfway the staircase to help us with luggage, and booked us a very early taxi for next day to the airport. We we given a key to open to street door, and arrived late at night after walking around. When we entered, the hallway and stair were in total darkness. They did light up when we stept in, but not a fun sight in the middle of Rome at midnight... I could hardly fit, and my husband (5'9") didn't even tried... Not worth even the price we paid, although given our last minute decision to stay in Rome instead of the airport, was the lowest we could find in a decent location.More
