We spent 4 nights at Residence AT and were pleased with our choice. The location just can't be beat - especially at this price point.
We knew going in that there were 100 steps up to the B&B and all I can say about that is before you leave the room, double-check to be sure you have everything needed for that particular outing - you don't want to run up and down those stairs anymore than necessary! The room itself was small but plenty big enough for both of us. The window looked out on the Tritone Fountain and Piazza Barberini - it was a really nice view of a busy city! There is a wardrobe in the room with 2 drawers so not a whole lot of space to unpack clothes. The bathroom was clean and bright. Only negative was that when we tried to take a shower in the evening, there was no hot water. No problems with having hot water in the mornings though.
Breakfast is brought on a tray to the room - you let the person working the night before know what time you would like it served. Breakfast consists of a coffee, juice, a warm brioche, and a basket of assorted hard breads and spreads.
One thing we did like was that it seemed as though someone was on duty just about all the time so we felt very safe and secure in the building. The location of this B&B is fantastic - the subway (Metro Line A) is at the other end of the block. Easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Barberini Palace.
