Advantages: Excellent location near Termini station, helpful staff, clean room.
Disadvantages: Quite small room, poky bathroom, no soundproof, you can hear your neighbours, is not comfortable. The mattresses were very hard.

Our good impression started even before the arrival. We booked wrong dates accidentally, but thanks to Stephano, the owner, we could change the dates without any fee. Our room was in the centre, literally two blocks from Termini, which was handy after flying and getting in from the airport with suitcases. During the night it's not the nicest area, but there were plenty of tourists everywhere and nightlife, so we felt perfectly safe. Afterall what would you expect about the surroundings of a huge train station in the middle of a big city? But all the attractions were very close and that was what we wanted. We arrived quite late in the evening, but Aladdin, our host was waiting for us. Very nice, modern and cosy little room, squeaky clean and we did not need a huge space as we were around exploring the city day and night. We read a lot of complaint about noise in the rooms. I can confidently say, we experienced no noise at all, although we had the window opened during the night. The aircon and wifi worked perfectly well, nice and clean bathroom, with towels for everybody and we could have extra free bed linen on request. The only suggestion we made about breakfast. There's nothing but sweet, prepacked biscuits, fruit yoghurts, tart, jam and butter, no savouries , eggs, cheese or breakfast meats at all. But plenty of fruits juices, freshly made tea and coffee. In comparison with the 'one coffee with a croissant in the opposite coffee shop' it was still a good breakfast. A huge thanks to Aladdin, our host, who was available for us 24/7 always with a smile on his face, always humble and very kind. Overall, we would stay there again and highly recommend this place to everybody who comes to Rome for a city break!

I chose to stay here based on the location to the Termini station and in this respect worked out great. The room however was small with a tiny shower to go with it. The shower area did have mold growing...The wifi worked at times and then others it did not. For the price I would say it's a little to pricy for what you get and not sure I'd return. The room overall seemed clean...

We were expecting a lot because of the good comments, but we were very disappointed about our room and the neighbourhood. Our room was very small, especially the shower. We didn´t feel save in the neighbourhood of termini. Wifi didn´t work well and the room was very noisy.
Good price and friendly host.

We been in Piumith B&B for 5 nights and all i can say are words of praise! The B&B was 5 min. walk from Termini station and the view is at the backyard so it’s peaceful and quiet. Our host (maybe owner-not sure?) Alauddin,(hope i spell it right) was excellent! He kept everything clean and tidy, offer help with some guides with town and was helpful in every way. The room was spacious, furniture was in good shape, in the room was electric kettle with tea and nescafe bags. The room had air-condition so if you are going in the summer you don’t have to worry about that. The breakfast is included in the price so you’we got everything. In conclusion i recommend it by heart!

We stayed for five nights in September. The B&B can best be described as a residential apartment in a block. The location is close to the Rome Termini (Central) station. It might be at most a 5 minute walk.

We booked a double room which ended up being basically two singled beds joined together. Room is spacious enough with a wardrobe, desk and bedside table. A television, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi were included.

Ensuite was small but big enough with small hand basin, toilet, bidet and shower. The bathroom was clean enough however there seemed to be a bit of mould in the shower on the ceiling and in between tiles but hardly worth complaining.

Sleep quality was not the best. This was due to the B&B being in an apartment block. You could hear people outside in the courtyard, walking down the corridor of the B&B, people talking in rooms and the corridor and the slamming of the front door every time someone enters/exits. I also found the pillows quite thin to sleep on. There is a strange bed sheet on top of your normal bed sheets which basically seems to be curtain fabric...?

I cannot comment on the breakfast as i never tried it. Room was cleaned every day and linen/towels changed every third day. I also didn't see the staff much but when i did they were always very friendly.

I would say that in an expensive place like Rome this B&B would be a great option for budget conscious travellers. If you know what to expect then there's no problems. I am not the type of person to complain and all in all found it very much good value for the price. Spend your money on the sites as you'll be out all day anyway (Please check my other reviews on Rome for some info on tours etc..)

A summary of positives and negatives as follows;

Positives;
Very good value for money
Air Conditioning
Free Wi-Fi and Television
Excellent location
Free Breakfast
Friendly staff
Secure, clean and decent sized room

Negatives;
Quite a bit of noise at night and in the morning
Pillows quite thin and bed linen slightly uncomfortable

Hope this helps with your choice!

Stayed there for 3 days in June 2012. Room was ok, free wireless worked fine and it was nice to live for a while almost as locals. The location is quite unbeatable, just a few hundred meters from central train station and the metro. Feel free to skip the breakfast, because you can eat much better outside.
