“Nice garden in this converted convent.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2013

I was here for two nights attending meetings in Rome, one on site. I arrived before check in and the room was not ready, so I took a seat in the lovely (and peaceful) interior garden on what was a beautiful sunny day. I relaxed for an hour or so with the most delicious sparkling lemonade (taste influenced by surroudings I propose!) I even had time to finish my presentation. Once the room was ready, I was led up and down a few sets of steps to the rear of the property (read: not the most condusive for ease of moving a suitcase packed for two weeks in Europe). It was very quaint that one needs an actual key for the door, and "quaint" would be the how I would describe the room. But hey, these are former nuns quarters. The bed was comfortable and the shower small but adequate. Don't expect lavish. No view but again I was in the back on the bottom floor. The day of of the onsight meeting we were treated to a tour of the building and church (not sure if available to the general public but worth asking) which was lovely. I can't vouch for the breakfast but the lunch they served us was very tasty. The area the hotel is located can't be beat (Trastevere) and is in walking distance to many lovely restuarants and bars. Staff was pleasant enough. There was no hot water the second morning (ah Europe!) but I cared not. If nuns bathed in cold water for centuries here, so could I! Yes, very pious of me.

With the location in a more quiet part of Trastevere, close to the bustling summer nightlife along the TIber and with walking distance to almost everywhere in ancient Rome (if you like to walk), I had high expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful, walking in at night very romantic and having breakfast in the garden wonderful. We had a room with a private balcony with wonderful views, but no chairs to sit outside to enjoy it. The room was large and clean. Bed was large and comfortable, although it lacked extra pillows (which I probably would have gotten had I asked). The enitre experience was nice, but overall this hotel lacks the "little oomph" that would have heightened the experience above average (especially when you take the price into consideration). A price for which you can stay many nicer places with the added charm you want when in Rome.

A fantastic luxory and quite hotel in the heart of Trastevere. Great position near the city center but not so busy. Nice and clean rooms, great service, good breakfast and the plus of the internal car parking. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi was not available in the rooms.

Yes the hotel is beautiful but the rooms are less than expected for the price!
The rooms are just average at best and they told us they had upgraded us to a deluxe executive suite when we checked in. If that was an upgrade, what are the other rooms like.
Very, very average.
We have paid less for better rooms in this area.
It was just a bed, a desk and a chair.
Yes, a super nice bathroom with separate enclosed shower which was great.
I think it was considered executive deluxe because of the shower and end of a long hall which gave us views out of several windows facing different directions.
We had to call the front desk to get a room service menu and we were just looking for maybe dessert and coffee.
Gelato was on the room service menu, but we were informed they did not have any.
No gelato in Italy?
Almost impossible to get someone to take a drink order in the lobby area across from the bar.
At almost $500 a night, we would never stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with an other couple and we all had a great stay. The hotel is located nearby lively Trastevere, but the hotel is all quiet. We had breakfast in the garden under the trees, it was a great way to start the day. There are lost of restaurants close to the hotel and you can walk to most of the attractions. We would like to come back next time again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor towards the backyard and the garden - it was lovely and quiet

A beautiful hotel with marble everywhere, oozing character from its days as a convent (on our last day we saw nuns opening up the dark classical chapel inside the front of the building). Friendly helpful service at the desk, including where to catch trams and buses and ordering an airport taxi. Nothing was too much trouble - including keeping our room open for us when we had a late departure. Staff all acknowledge you if they pass you in the hallways. There is a charming courtyard garden where you can eat breakfast. Our room (115) was veryquiet (as we had requested) though it did not look out over the courtyard. The only downside was that the free wi-fi was only available downstairs. Would love to stay there again.

This hotel is class from top to bottom. The staff was outstanding, going out of their way to ensure our comfort and every need. Our room was so quaint and unique. It was such a wonderful experience. I will stay there again and again when in Rome!!

Room Tip: The hotel is right hard to find but so worth the trip. Our room was quiet but our travel partners he...
