Each time we visit Rome Osteria dell,Ignegno is booked in advance. We found it in a book called Cool Restaurants of Rome. This visit was better then ever and the Lady who served all 9 of us was just a great hostess and great fun .
The duck with star anis waw the winner for us and of course their tiramisu was as good as ever.
.There was a very good selection of wines and our lady knew her wines.
The Piazza di pietra is just a beautiful quiet location and yet it is so near the buzz around The Pantheon

Unfortunately we tried this restaurant on our last night & could not return. The best meal we had in Rome . Very fairly priced. The food seemed to have a French influence. The duck breast was amazing.I think even "foodies" would enjoy this restaurant.Nice wine list.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident on a rainy night in Rome. We initially chose it because it was one of the few restaurants within a five minute walk of our hotel (near the Pantheon), that DID NOT have an annoying fellow standing outside trying to cajole the tourists into their restaurant. The food was quite good (not outstanding, but good all the same), with a more imaginative menu than your typical "Roman" restaurant. Would recommend the mild chicken curry, and the tiramisu was excellent. What made this restaurant shine was the service. The evening we were there, I could only see two servers, a young woman, and a gentleman in his 50's. He was amazing - personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was prompt and he still was able to find time to make each guest feel at home. Would heartily recommend for a casual meal, with a couple of glasses of good wine!

Food was reasonable but not outstanding considering the higher than average prices. Very good wine list including large selection of by-the-glass. Has a small bar area as well if you're just after a drink and some nibbles.

saturday night. you have passed all day wathing the vatican musei.you are exhausted.you read about this excellent hidden treasure at this site and you are sure that your expectations will be fullfilled...but you are a fool.because this cozy restaurant has nothing more to say than 10000 more in all over the world.we have a small tavern in athens called "mpouka" at exarchia that serves the same marmita with fishes.and it costs only 5 euros, not 22.50.because the duck was just ordinary, and at capolecase (another osteria at rome) the night before was a miracle.because i couldnt see the time to go away.cause if you want to be at highest level you have to fight for new customers.otherwise you will be just as others, and you pay the price.the title contains my feelings about this lost saturday night.
