This is the first restaurant we tried in Rome as we arrived. It is a very good restaurant and it had plenty of locals eating in there, but it is a Sardinian cuisine and it is pretty much an acquired taste. I would visit again to try more of their specialties and then give an updated review.

Me and my two friends found this restaurant on our first day in Rome when trying to find somewhere to have lunch. We ended up finding this place while looking down the quieter side streets and were welcomed in by a lovely man as we were looking at the menu from outside.

After having lunch here on our first day, we visited this restaurant another two times during our weekend trip to Rome, it was fantastic!

The food was unbelievable! Over our three visits we had tried the calamari linguine, the spaghetti carbonara, the scampi risotto, tortellini bolognese, and the ravioli... From the first bite we all knew this place was our favourite!

Very sweet staff, lovely building, would definitely recommend!

We stumbled across this restaurant this evening and were not pleased. First of all, they brought bread, which we had not ordered and charged us €2.50. My husband ordered the fettucini with calamari and mullet roe and I had the buccatini all arriabiati. The pasta on both dishes was cooked perfectly al dente, but that is where it ended. My arriabiati was devoid of any seasoning and actually reminded me of Chef Boy R Dee spaghetti sauce. My husband could not taste any spices in his dish, could not find any roe, either by appearance or taste and the calamari tasted as if it had started to go bad, or was the type used for fish bait. I saw the good reviews earlier and can only conclude that the quality has gone down. One of the main reasons for coming to Italy was to taste some excellent Italian food and we definitely did not get it here.

We have been there several times and were never disappointed. Try the sardinian or the fish menu. They include several courses, water, coffee and grappa. A typical hostsria with good prices.
