Although the selection of dishes is limited, taste and presentation is great. Ambiance is perfect. It has some Paris flavour. You feel yourself in Italy for sure but somehow also in a French patisserie.

We called in for a glass of wine. There were at least six staff all too busy to serve the customers. It was like Fawlty Towers. I went to the bar and ordered for myself. The wine and snacks and the ambience were fine. Too many staff talkingto each other to be efficient.

We couldn't get into the one Rick Steves recommended next door and we were hungry so we went to La Buvette. Really good food, good service, price was reasonable although they didn't have the cheap house wine I'd become accustomed to. All in all super good though.

There are so many lovely places to eat in this neighbourhood, but unfortunately this is not one of them. The food we had was distinctly average and the waiting staff were more concerned with getting new customers than serving their tables. It was also really expensive for what we ate. Sounds like it would be better at lunchtime than in the evening.

We walked passed this place many times but only on our last night in Rome did we stop for dinner and it was delicious! The host was so friendly and inviting, and the food, especially the veal saltimbocca was outstanding! House wine was wonderful. Highly recommend this little gem!
