“Perfect base to explore Rome”
Reviewed 26 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Was warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival and called this apartment home for roughly three weeks. Though I know Trastevere well, the apartment was the perfect base camp to get reacquainted with the city and explore different parts of Rome.

Location is great - a 20 minute walk to the Vatican in one direction, while hopping on Tram 8 to Piazza Venezia will take you to most of the main attractions (Colosseum, Forum, Via Del Corso -- an offshoot to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps,). Also close to a number of bus stops if you don't feel like walking. A stop across Ponte Sisto will take you towards the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo, while a bus stop across from the tram line will take you to Termini if you are looking to do a day trip. If you're a runner or just want to enjoy a peaceful stroll, go down the stairs near Ponte Sisto and go along the pathway that follows the Tiber.

Lots of markets nearby (Conad in the basement of OVS off Viale di Trastevere was my choice, though there are many others sprinkled throughout). There's a nice daily market at Piazza di San Cosimato where you can get fresh fruit and vegetables that are in season. There's no shortage of great restaurants and bars, so just wander and see what you like!

Good wifi (especially by Italian standards!) and an emergency phone is provided should you need it. Plenty of bathroom and wardrobe storage if you are in for a longer stay like I was. Fresh sheets and towels once a week. Though there aren't too many stairs to tackle, the elevator is nice when you have luggage in tow. The building is secure and Trastevere as a neighborhood is extremely safe (as a single female traveler and former resident of the area, I felt perfectly fine walking alone at night). Absolutely one of the best neighborhoods in Rome, especially if it is your first time in the city.

I extended my trip, and although the apartment was unavailable for a portion of that time and I ended up somewhere else, the owner was extremely generous and accommodating. She also checked in about half way through my trip to make sure everything was okay with the apartment and if I needed anything. I would absolutely return and recommend the apartment to a friend.

“Great week in Rome”
Reviewed 16 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Me and my two friends stayed in Isabellas place for a week this month and it was great. Pictures are very accurate. Location couldnt get better, plenty of restaurants and bars, lovely neighbourhood in Trastevere. Grocery store is 10 minutes away. 20 min walk to most of the things you would want to see in Rome. Kitchen fully equipped, nice bathroom and confortable beds. We would definitely repeat! And totally recommend !!!
