“Hidden Roman gem”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

We loved this little hotel located close to Rupplica Metro and within walking distance to many of Rome's main tourist attractions.

Small number of rooms located on 2 floors easily accessible by a lift, this hotel was surrounded by local shops and numerous cafes and restaurants.

The rooms were of a good size and very comfortable. Staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful and even gave us a list of their local preferred restaurants. Breakfasts were good in a cosy breakfast room with an extensive menu of items to choose from.

We would stay again in this hotel and would recommend it to our family and frends.

We stayed for a week in this mini-hotel. Very convenient location by Termini and metro, easy walks all around. Nice breakfast and good coffee. Rooms are well-maintained, clean and spacious by Rome standards. Better rates from the hotel website, book in advance to get even better discounts.

Room Tip: Rooms on the next floor from the reception are more quiet

My boyfriend and I stated here in July 2013 and loved it. It was a little boutique hotel, but the rooms were good-sized, modern and clean. The bathroom was spacious. It's located only a couple blocks from the Termini train station, so it was extremely convenient for the airport, subway/metro and a short walk to almost all the main landmarks. Even though it's close to everything, it was very quiet. The staff were very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent choice of hotel, closely located, within walking distance from Rome Termini main train station, one block of Via Nazionale, one of the main shopping streets in Rome. Lovely quaint little hotel, 23 rooms, so well maintained, very well designed, modern. Staff are friendly and very helpful. An easy walk to many of the major attractions in Rome, close to subway stations and numerous restaurants in Rome, including the Restaurante Target, just around the corner. We have been to this hotel twice in four years, and we highly recommend it.

Room Tip: No restaurant in the hotel itself, so many within a 5 minute walk, breakfast room is well maintained...

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights last Christmas, and really enjoyed our stay. We travelled with hand luggage only, and didn’t mind the short walk from Termini train station to the hotel. The hotel is located in an old building, one street off a main street, which makes it perhaps a little quieter, but you are still surrounded by lively city life.

We stayed in room “Totti”, a superior room, which had its own balcony. The room and bathroom were very spacious with modern interior. There was a good sized closet for clothes etc. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm (it was wintertime, with outdoor temperatures around 10 c).

They serve a buffet style continental breakfast, and we found enough options – coffee, toast, croissants, orange juice, yoghurt… and everything was very fresh. For dinner we ate in different restaurants in the surrounding area. We had a really good meal in restaurant Target, just around the corner from the hotel.

We mostly walked around the city, but also used the Metro to visit Vatican City. There is a metro station (Republica) close to the hotel.

There is a lot to see in Rome, also near by the hotel. We recommend visiting the beautiful Basilica “Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri”. The simple brick wall entrance is next to the fountain at Piazza della Republica, glad we took a look inside!

I very much liked this hotel. It's more like a collection of apartments on the 2nd floor of a building. It's not a stand alone hotel. The décor is modern, there is adequate space, the bathrooms were nice, modern and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and all totally fluent in English. It's on a smaller street next to the Mitsukoshi Department Store and 1 blk to a major thoroughfare, so it is easy to walk to many nearby restaurants. It's walkable to the train station and to the coliseum and forum. For the price it is very reasonable. The little elevator for the building is very old and quite a pain. The air conditioner worked fine. So did the Wi-Fi. There was some street noise but it wasn't too bad.

We stayed for 4 nights and the air-conditioner in our room was leaking during the last 2 nights.. When we informed the front desk about the leakage, they said that this was common and that they will get someone to look at in the next morning.. But it seems that no one looked into it as it was still leaking on the next night.. There was also no update from the front desk about the situation of our air-conditioner at all.. Bad experience.. Avoid room F where the leakage occurred..

The room wifi was mediocre as I had no trouble reading posts from Facebook, but had problems downloading my emails..

The hotel breakfast was limited in choices, but the Parma ham and cornflakes were ok..

Overall, service could be improved in terms of the handling of our air-conditioner issue..
