We finally found our room after lots of walking and been sent in the wrong direction. The staff were very friendly and it was nice to be able to put our feet up and relax on a very comfy bed in air conditioning. The room was very clean, and when we did venture out we found it was very central to all the tourist attractions. And only 10mins walk from the termini. The staff were helpful and actually printed out our train tickets for us, saving us from being harassed by the many hawkers at the termini. Breakfast was very nice, great coffee and a lot to choose from. The lift up to our room was very old and quaint, felt like we were back in the 1940s - loved it. The place was lovely, but I think if I went to Rome again I would stay out of the heart of rome where it isn't so busy.

We stayed at SuiteDreams hotel in Rome for 3 nights. With plenty of activities to do in Rome, the hotel room was literally just a place to sleep and freshen up. Good price, nice fairly spacious room for europe, location is not ideal as not in the middle of the happening places in town for a tourist, however it IS close to a bus stop which you can use to go back and forth. Buses do stop running around midnight. Showers were warm but pressure not so great.

Nice trendy little hotel walking distance to the Colloseum. Bit of a noisy neighbourhood at night, I'm a heavy sleeper but my partner was frustrated and didn't get much sleep from all the commotion outside. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Free water in the fridge which doesn't sound like much but in summer in Rome it was fantastic!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the SuiteDreams hotel in Rome in late July 2014.

Our stay was excellent and we really enjoyed our few days at this hotel.

The room was very nice. The decor is very close to what is shown on the various photos.
The amenities are complete (TV, safe, mini-fridge, soap/shampoo, plenty of towels) and of good quality. They even provide you with two bottles of water for free every day.

The room is large (even for North Americans) and nicely appointed. Notice that they have metallic shutters for the windows that are electrically activated by buttons on the wall. They doi damp out a good portion of the outdoor noises and make your room super dark (great sleep!).

The breakfast buffet is simple but very good. The hotel itself being relatively small, you are either alone or with only a few people in the breakfast room.

It's true the elevator is a bit antic (very beautiful), small and ackward to operate, but that was a non-issue for us. Only used it twice and had a good laugh.

But the best asset of SuiteDreams (apart what was mentioned above) is the staff. All people we had to deal with were kind, polite, helpful and just great. When we arrived, the lady gave a us a SUPER helpful 5-10 min crash course on things to do and places to visit in Rome. She provided us with a list of recommended restaurants (the ones we tried were yummy). They even went to the extent of managing to get us a reservation for a visit of the Borghese Galleria (which was supposedly sold out for the next 3 days). Finally they were very kind in sharing tricks and strategies in getting around and into museums fast and efficiently. WOW !

As for location, it was very good for us. You are a block away from Plaza Republica and its subway station. You are within walking distance from the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Viktor Emmanuel Memorial, Trevi Fountain (under restauration)... all within 20-30 min walk. Even the Pantheon was within 30 min walk.

All in all, a great hotel with amazing staff. We would highly recommend.

One little note: the hotel provides free wi-fi. The availability and speed is sufficient. We only had one issue. The devices we had with us were an iPhone and an iPad and the way the wi-fi is setup, our Apple iCloud email account was not accessible. We could browse the web, but could not access our email. And be mindful that if you try to log onto the iCloud website to have web access to your email, Apple had made it such that it forces you to use the mail app of your iDevice... so back to square one. This is not the hotel's fault. But just plan accordingly if you use an iDevice with iCloud.

Very modern rooms, the most comfortable bed we stayed in during our whole stay in Italy (including 5* hotels) and by far the most helpful staff - On our first day out the helpful person on the desk literally spent 5-10 minutes drawing on a map for us, suggesting locations, bus routes - you name it! This was invaluable and we thoroughly appreciated the effort he put in to make sure we had a good visit!
It may not look much from the outside (or perhaps even the entrance) but the rooms really are top notch. Would not hesitate staying here again.

We have just spent two nights in this hotel. I am particularly fussy about cleanliness and I found this just perfect. The rooms were spotless and so were the corridors, both smelled fresh and clean. The rooms are modern and nicely decorated. Breakfast had a nice selection of Pastry's and hams etc.
I encountered a small problem with my luggage when I arrived at the hotel but staff were very attentive and helpful and had my problem sorted very quickly. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay.
