The bed was so very comfortable and the bathroom was big and light. The rooftop was set up with comfortable chairs, tables and sun loungers to give great place to chill after a hard days sight seeing. The breakfast exceeded expectations with a good cold buffet and a number of hot items. Cappuccinos were individually made with a different pattern each time. All the staff were incredible. Location great for sights as well as restaurants for the evening. A fabulous few days in Rome made better by staying here.

This is a must in Rome. Perfectly located, unbelievably friendly and accommodating staff, and wonderful rooms. The rooms are very stylish, spotless and quiet. The staff are extremely helpful (booked taxis, stored our bags etc). Highly recommend!!

I had the honor of staying at this beautiful boutique hotel for 3 nights in early May. There are not enough words to describe how perfect this place is, but will try. First the hotel is in an ideal location nearby the jewish ghetto. Walking distance to most of the prime attractions and nearby so many delicious restaurants. Staff at the front desk could not be more nice or helpful. They spent several minutes with us when we checked in going over a map (that they provided) of the city to help us throughout the trip. Kind, patient, professional and caring some of the adjectives to describe the not just the front desk staff, but also everyone who works at the hotel. The owner surely knows how to spot great people. My primary language is english and I never had a language barrier. The room was immaculate and comfortable. A coffee maker and electric adapter included on desk. The bed was dressed with wonderful linens which made the perfect backdrop for a great night sleep after walking Rome. There is a roof top bar that provides amazing views of the City. We spent each morning up there having breakfast (included) and at night having a drink with the bartender extraordinaire Dino. Yes, they have bar upstairs on the roof and have some small plates available to order. The owner Paolo was outstanding too - he was on site every day and was always willing and able to offer tips or advice for a walking route or a restaurant. Please - do yourself a favor... if you are going to stay in Rome, stay at this lovely boutique hotel. I cannot wait to return !!!

Room tip: We were on third floor and did not hear anything.

I stayed at the Monte Cenci hotel for 4 nights in mid-May, 2018. I am extremely picky about hotels, especially around quiet for sleeping and overall location of the hotel.

The Monte Cenci exceeded all my hopes and expectations. From the very quiet room, to the extremely helpful and English fluent staff ( I want to especially acknowledge Red, Ceclia, the on-sight manager and Jelana (sp?) to the wonderful breakfast on the rooftops overlooking Rome to the fantastic location right next to the Ghetto, this is an amazing hotel deserving of its high praise. I hope to return again soon to Rome and stay here.

This boutique hotel is in the Jewish Ghetto area, which is perfectly located for those who enjoy walking Rome. It is a 10-30 minute walk from virtually everything! The piazza on which the hotel is located is not an attractive one -- mostly parked cars -- but it is very quiet in an otherwise busy part of the city. The hotel is modern and spotlessly clean. The staff at the hotel are wonderful -- very pleasant, friendly and eager to help. There is a rooftop bar where you can also get "room service" dinners. The breakfast room is small, but the breakfast offerings are excellent -- in Continental style. In general, this is a nice hotel choice. However, there are a few drawbacks depending on your circumstances. The rooms are small, but so are most hotel rooms in Europe. These rooms, however, have very little closet/storage space. If you are staying for 2-3 nights, that's probably not an issue, but we stayed a week and it was impossible to completely unpack. Also, be aware that the room with the large terrace is a "honeymoon" room. It has a shower with clear glass walls that is visible from the bed -- and there are no blinds to provide privacy. So if you are two friends traveling together, you may want to opt for a different room! And while the hotel has a modern 2-person elevator, it does not go down to street level. So, if you have trouble with stairs, select a different hotel. You cannot get into this one without going up a flight of stairs.

Room tip: Room 407 has a small, but pleasant, private terrace. See photo.
