“In-Quod-i-ble QuodLibet!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2012

The hospitality and attention to small details from the team at Quodlibet, especially Gianluca and Agostino were unrivalled from other Italian B&Bs we stayed at all over the country. Gianluca prepares such a generous and delectable breakfast feast which pleased the typical fussy Singaporean foodies we were. Different teas, pastries and various cold cuts daily which we truly enjoyed. Cleanliness, comfort and creativity found in every themed room. The Summer and Spring rooms are colourful and cheery, great for children but the Winter and Autumn rooms are more subtle and cosy for couples. Pillows and mattress were very very soft and for some of us who prefer more height, just ask for more pillows from them.

From the time we were picked up by private van at the airport, we felt safe and taken care of. They really know the area and good restaurants so do heed their recommendations on transport and tourist attractions. I had wonderful conversations with them just because they were so warm and friendly and had so much to offer on travel experiences. B&B is perfectly located 1min from subway station and 10mins walk to St Peters Basillica (go at 6am to avoid the snaking queues and don't listen to freelance guides who tout on the streets and claim to give entrance discounts and skip queues). At the main junction there is the best Gelato shop 5min up ahead of the subway which sells the best ice cream I've had in Italy, seriously, because I was on a pistachio gelato hunt. Think shop is called Blue.

With their savvy knowledge and fine finesse, you cannot go wrong with Quodlibet because it is run with love and by family. I was a flight attendant and this little quad-room B&B surpassed my discerning expectations. With this review that is my credit to them being duly deserved, I don't think I'll be able to get a reservation again next time since I'm sure this new establishment will become so popular. Gianluca even helped us lug our 12bags down to the car after we checked out. He was just the sweetest gentleman (taking the stairs instead of the small lift with us.) Really, this topped off the start of our wonderful Roman experience.

Room Tip: Autumn and Winter Rooms - more subtle and warmer colours for couples. Summer & Spring Rooms - v...

We have just got back from 4 fantastic nights at Quodlibet, which was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the city. The location is great, close to the Metro and to the Vatican. The rooms are fresh, bright and modern. Breakfast is a real treat, with enough to keep you going throughout a long days sightseeing - the amazing pastries come from the bakery next door if you have room for more! Above all our hosts were superb. Very welcoming, offering great advice and making sure everything was just right. Quodlibet deserves to be so highly rated and is great value for money.

We have spent three nights in Agostino's and Giancarlo's bed&b. It is really a charming place and both of them are very nice, friendly and helpful. They are always ready to help their guests and give them all kind of information. Our bedroom was big, bright and very confortable, with a little table for having breakfast and a very lively decoration. The ensuite toilet was very well equipped.
Breakfast was very good, with tasty croissants from the baker's next to the b&b, fruit, coffe, toast...
It is five minutes from the Vaticano on foot and you have the underground round the corner. I think it is a very good election if you want to be in the centre of Roma, next to the metropolitan and most tourist places and a very nice accomodation.

We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful apartment! A car was booked for us to meet at the airport which was really helpful and gave us more time to enjoy beautiful Rome. The apartment had beautiful decor and was exceptionally clean with an amazing comfortable bed and a gorgeous bathroom! We had lovely views of the city from our room. A fantastic breakfast was brought to our room every morning, fruit, eggs, toast, cheeses, salamis, croissants, pain au chocolat, fresh coffee, everything!! Agostino and Gianluca made us feel most welcome and were so helpful and kind throughout our stay. Agostino gave us a map of Rome and showed us lovely places to visit and where to eat etc, he was so helpful and we loved chatting to him! Overall we had such a wonderful time in beautiful Rome, beautiful weather, beautiful food, lovely people and to top it all off, a beautiful place to return to every day! Thank you Agostino and Gianluca, we wish you every success and happiness! From Lisa and Dominic, UK.

We stayed at QuodLibet for five nights. It's an excellent B&B with only four rooms on the highest floor (4th) in a building situated very near the Vatican. The owners, Agostino and Gianluca are very serviceminded and know how to treat their guests. Breakfast is super with fresh croissants etc from the bakery downstairs, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, salami and much more. The room was nice and quiet, the A/C worked just fine. There are plenty of shops in the area and many nice small, local restaurants where local people go. Cheaper than on the other side of the river. The Ottaviano metro station is just a few steps away, but it's no problem to walk to the area round Via Corso etc. We can also recommend the private taxi service from/to the airport (47 euros) that the owners suggested. It worked very well.

Room Tip: The "Winter" room is a bigger family room. (All rooms are named after the seasons of the y...

In October 2011 my family stayed 3 nights in QuodLibet near the Vatican City in Rome. The apartment has just been newly refurbished and is very tastefully done up and the room is clean, neat and bright. It is obvious that careful details has been put into the room to make your stay comfortable. Most of all the owners : Gianluca, Consolata and Agostino are very helpful and friendly and they speak good English. The apartment location is excellent for us tourists and there are shopping, restaurants and metro stations within walking distance. Visiting the various tourist attractions is also very convenient. They can also arrange for airport pick up and sending that is reliable. I highly recommend this place for your holiday in Rome. Many thanks to Gianluca, Consolata and Agostino. From: Amy & family

Dear Amy,

what a pleasure to read your comment. Very nice to hear from you, and thank you very much for your nice review.

Even if a few months are passed from your stay, we remember very well about you and your children.

It was very interesting to chat with you at to get to know interesting things about Malaysia. We are very curious now to come to see your beautiful country, and maybe meet you in Kuala Lumpur ;-).

For now it is easier if you come to Rome again next time you visit Europe. We would be very happy to have you again as our guests.
