“Stylish B&B .”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

Very stylish B&B in Prati area of Rome . Spotless and well furnished rooms and very good and filling breakfast served in your room if you like . Owners friendly and helpful and both spoke very good english and gave good advice . Best option for the Vatican area and 15-20 mins walk from Trastavere , Pantheon and Piazza Navona , Spagna and Trevi etc . More or less outside for Ottaviano metro for Colosseum and forum area . Excellent 24 hour bakery next door ( they didn't speak English but just point and smile or try out your Italian ) . The area also had some good value trattorias ( 2 courses and wine 60e ) and was safe to walk around . I would recommend to anyone tired of impersonal hotel trips .

Room Tip: Taxi door to door arranged by Quodlibet was 47e and saved the hassle of train/metro .

The Quod Libet B&B offers excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished and provide superb accommodation yet only a ten minute walk from the Vatican. Breakfast could be served in the room if requested, which was our choice and was very adequate. All the staff were extremely welcoming, caring and especially helpful in advising us how to make the best of our three day stay. We were so grateful to them and we would have no hesitation in returning if we were to make another visit to this fascinating city.
This B&B is situated in a very convenient area of the city. We considered ourselves fortunate to have located there, despite this being our first visit to Rome.

Room Tip: This apartment is on the 4th floor and there is a lift and security was good. There is also a room s...

My wife and I stayed here for 6 days and being the first time we used a B&B anywhere as we normally prefer to stay in hotels. We took a chance based on the trip advisor reviews and we were extremely pleased that we chose to stay at QuodLibet.

The standards are extremely high and the owners and staff are superb and they are on hand to give great advice on the various tourist spots in Rome.

Breakfast is served in your room and is as good as you will get in a 5* hotel in Rome. The room is excellent and is great value and is probably as good if not better than most 4* hotels. We spent roughly 6/7 hours visiting the various sites in Rome that you really do not need a massive room.

I would recommend QuodLibet to anyone who wishes to stay for a couple of days or more as it is most convenient for the Vatican and all sites in Rome as well as the Metro (150 yards).

The owners make such a difference and Gianluca and Agostino are marvellous hosts and also the staff member who cleaned our room & served breakfast on a daily basis is great.

QuodLibet is a wonderful place to stay and great value for money.

My husband and I prefer to stay at B&Bs and this one is at the top of our list with its beautiful, cozy room, great location, amazing personal service, excellent breakfast and affordable price. We were greeted upon arrival with a croissant and OJ along with a map of Rome and suggestions of routes to walk and restaurants to try. Each morning, we were presented an incredible spread for breakfast to include wonderful croissants for the 24 hour bakery next door. During breakfast, the owners would "check in" with us to see if we needed any help planning our day or to answer any questions we had. This personal attention was so helpful. There is a Metro stop within yards of the front door, which made it so easy to get around Rome and return at night. The room was so comfortable, clean and well decorated it far surpasses the level of other B&Bs we have stayed at in Europe. As I said, just stop looking and stay here!

We recently stayed at QuodLibet at both ends of our trip and I now understand why it's so highly rated. Gianluca and his team have created the perfect combination of comfort, amenities, location and price. We've stayed at (and reviewed) a LOT of B&Bs and hotels in Rome and this is now our favorite. Here are some specifics:

OWNERS
Gianluca is a warm, outstanding host who anticipates your every need and solves every problem, yet never feels smothering. This is a great B&B for everyone - even if you're not the B&B "type."

As a side note, I highly recommend having him book your car to/from the airport. It was significantly cheaper than a cab and much more reliable and comfortable.

LOCATION
We prefer the Prati because it's less touristy, more affordable, safe and easy to access from the airport, yet still walking distance to all central Rome attractions. B&B was very easy to find (same building as an English school) and on a safe, main street that became very quiet at night.

BUILDING
B&B is on the 4th floor (5th floor American) of a large apartment building, but fortunately there is an elevator. Walls are very thick... the B&B was full while we were there, but we never heard a soul.

BREAKFAST
Really well done. Breakfast is brought to your room when you're ready and consists of tea/coffee (tea drinkers - they had a selection of Twinings teas and fresh hot water - no coffee taste), a hard-boiled egg, meats & cheeses, toasted bread, pastries, yogurt and a bowl of fresh fruit.

KITCHEN
All guests have access to the kitchen during the day/night, which offers fresh fruit, cookies, yogurts, coffee and tea.

BEDROOMS
We stayed in the Winter and Spring rooms during our trip; Winter was a bit bigger than Spring, but both rooms felt nice and roomy.

Both rooms had a matrimonial (king) bed, which converts into two twins (note: these beds are common in Europe and can sometimes spread apart a bit a night). Both beds were very comfortable - not too soft or hard. Winter also had a day bed for a 3rd person.

Both rooms also came with:
A beautiful view of trees and a carabinieri school, which looks like a giant villa
Table with chairs (plenty of room for breakfast)
A small key-opened wall safe
A mini-fridge with 2 waters & 2 sodas
Decently sized armoires
Radiator heating (works beautifully)
Large flatscreen TV & cable
Free wifi (great signal)
Extra blankets & pillows and good lighting
Books!

BATHROOMS
Nice big bathrooms with:
Toilet & bidet
Wooden shelves for your toiletries
Hairdryer w/ attachments
Shampoo, shower gel & soap
Large, modern showers with detachable showerheads

If you're looking for a comfortable, VERY affordably priced B&B within walking distance to the Vatican and all central Rome sights, I highly, highly recommend QuodLibet.

Room Tip: Winter & Spring have nice views, though Winter is a bit bigger and nicer.

My husband and I stayed at Quodlibet for 2 nights and it was our favorite B&B so far! The owners were so inviting and friendly. When we arrived they had a fridge in our room filled with drinks and they also gave us a drink (blood orange juice, YUM) when they were going over the map with us. They explained where we were in relationship to all of the great things to see, and even told us where to eat to avoid tourist traps! All of his suggestions were excellent. Especially The Golden Spider restaurant (I forget what that is in Italian). The rooms were beautiful the showers were hot and the breakfast was delicious! Also, there is an amazing Bakery just downstairs from them and it always smells like fresh pastries! We will definitely be staying at QuodLibet again when we come back to Rome!

Our group of four booked two rooms at the QuodLibet in early January after research on TripAdvisor. We had a wonderful stay. As described by other reviewers, QuodLibet is in a wonderful location--close to the Vatican and very close to the Metro. Breakfast was a highlight each day. We used the airport pick-up service and it was convenient and well priced. The B&B had fast, free Wi-Fi, our room and bathroom were large and comfortable, the elevator was a convenience. Booking was easy. Although the booking confirmation states payment must be made in cash Euros, we were easily able to charge on MasterCard and our price was very fair. I would recommend this property to any traveler interested in a well priced, modern and spacious room in a great location.
