“Excellent place, Highly recommended”
Reviewed 21 September 2012

My husband and I stayed here in September 2012. These wonderful people make you feel like your right at home. Oh my goodness, from the time you come in the door you are greeted with a most welcoming smile and a lovely Bon gourno! you are asked what time you want to wake up and what you would like for breakfast. For heavens sake its even in bed!! Close to everything, and within a few minutes your at some lovely sights. Not far from the termini train station- on foot it will take you approx 10 min with luggage. Beds are comfortable, fresh clean linen daily. The only thing its on the second floor, there is a lift but you have to get up to it, its on the second floor, still reachable. Very safe area and quiet. Wonderful is all around you, just across the street is Gio Vanni's wonderful place, excellent food reasonably priced. Very nice people who treat you with a smile every time. They don't forget a face either, always pleasant.
Mama Luisa makes every effort to ensure your stay is a most pleasant one. On our trip we actually stayed here two times. They accomodated us a second time after we came back from roaming around a different area of Italy, again most pleasant. Please try them.

I also do not understand why this place is so highly rated. It has a very misleading website. I thought we were going to arrive at a proper bed an breakfast run by an Italian family. I was looking forward to meeting them! Instead we arrived to find a down at heel dump in need of a great deal of renovation. It was not very clean nor was it a cheerful place. The breakfast amounted to stale bread and croissant probably bought in at the end of the day for use the following morming however the coffee and chocolate drinks were hot and fresh. The owners have no pride in this place. I do not recommend it unless you are a backpacker on a very tight budget. On a more positive note, the staff were very nice and very helpful and one or two could speak reasonable English. The location is good, only 10 mins to the Termini and 15 mins to the Trevi Fountain. Actually you can walk anywhere in Rome from this location without too much trouble.

Rome is awesome. It was my wife birthday vocation and this two days in Rome best of all 3 weekend trip. Hotel locations in center closer Termini. It makes easy to go to airport or Shuttle bus stop. There are too much historic sightseens around the center that's why better to buy hip on off bus tickets aprox 18euro person.

I have just come back from my stay at the Maria Luisa in Rome and have to say I was very impressed. I was looking for a budget hotel and Maria Luisa was more than I could have hoped for. It was easy to find on foot from the train station and was in a good location so that many of the sites could also be reached on foot.

The staff were extremely friendly and even offered us the chance to change rooms if we weren't happy with the one we had been given. However we were happy with the room we were given, even if it wasn't the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was clean and the bathroom was newly refurbished. A substantial breakfast was brought to the room each morning and the towels changed daily.

Another bonus was the free wifi and aircon.

I would definitely recommend the B&B to anyone looking for a fairly priced hotel with a great location. I definitely would book to stay here again if I was to return to Rome.

Fairly central - near bus station and was walking distance to all sites - if you dont mind walking- its is only 15 minutes to Spanish steps - lots of local bars nearby
Breakfast brought to you in your room - you can tell them what time you would like it
It has air con and free wi fi
Friendly staff and very clean - I would stay there again
