The best thing about this hotel is the rooftop pool - although it is small, it is so nice to have this in the summer months. It makes visiting a city in the heat more bearable.

The gym was very small but modern and clean - i would however suggest that the management fix the aircon and provide water in the gym, it is really dangerous for people to be working out, without aircon and without access to water.

The breakfast was of good quality and good choice

The only drawback is the location - we ended up spending a lot of money on taxis

Room Tip: The rooms on the 5th floor can be noisy when functions are being held on the roof

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 3rd to 6th July. It was easy to get to the hotelfrom the airport. We purchased train tickets from a machine at airport. You have to validate them before your journey by putting them into a machine near the platform.
A train from airport to Trastevere station cost €8 single €16 return and a bus (No. 170) to the main street very near hotel cost €1.50. You need to purchase bus tickets at the Tobacco shops, one was located outside the train station. The hotel website has a lot of useful information on how to get there.

This is an ultra modern hotel. We got a lovely welcome from the receptionists on arrival and were checked in really fast.

Our room was spotlessly clean and really fresh. It had great air conditioning and a fabulous shower but not a great view - which didn't bother us. Sleep quality was excellent as it was in a quiet location. The housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient.

The buffet breakfast was lovely and Vincenze the restaurant manager was very welcoming. Martina one of the staff in the restaurant was great too. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful.

We chose this hotel mainly because it had a pool and it was a wise decision. Having walked around Rome for seven and a half hours one day, we were delighted to have the use of the pool until 9p.m. that evening. The pool closed at 7 p.m. some evenings when the hotel organised a cocktail party by the pool for the residents. We never got a sun lounger but were lucky to get some chairs as we arrived late in the evening.

We like to try local restaurants for dinner in the evenings but I have to say we were a bit disappointed with the selection of restaurants in that area. There were plenty of Pizzarias and Gelatarias ( Ice cream parlours) but we didn't find any really nice restaurants within walking distance , which we were disappointed with. There is a nice Pizzaria near the hotel just around the corner it was basic but tasty.

If I had anything negative to say it would be the location was a little out from the centre but that is easily overcome with the public transport ( no. 170 bus to City Centre & no 766 bus to train station - only three stops away). We got a train to the Vatican for €1 each way which was very reasonable just two stops away.

Overall the hotel was lovely, staff great, and the pool an added bonus. Easy to get around but poor selection of nice restaurants in the area. Lots of shops just a stroll from the hotel.

A lovely stay here.

The hotel is new and nice. It's a little bit far away from center but taking a bus it's not issue-you just need to calculate 30 minutes for total trip to the center. Advantage is it's in quite area with nice swimming pool, however you want to be there at 10:00 a.m. sharp when they open because missing this hour you will miss sun beds and only place for you to sit it's floor. Staff is very friendly and they accommodate us very quickly even thought when we arrive first day they didn’t have a room for us because they were overbooked and there was some maintance problem with our room ( hard to believe, they should've been just honest and said that they overbooked rooms). Anyway they transfer us to nice, same star hotel, paid for everything and only issue was to come back to hotel next day (still paid the taxi). Staff at reception is very friendly and always helpful. Ice machine on each floor which is very rare in European hotels. Overall I would recommend it especially if you want ot visit Rome for 2-3 days and when rest around swimming pool for 1-2 days.

My partner and I stayed for 12 nights at this hotel and have no complaints. The area is all residential and the road from the Main Street to the hotel was unlit at night but we felt totally safe walking there. The room was cleaned very well every day, we only used the pool three times as it closed at seven pm, although some nights during our stay it was open until nine, which was a bonus. Beware information on the reviews that say not to pay for bus tickets, we witnessed inspectors boarding the bus between stops twice during our stay and fare dodgers were immediately ejected and fined on the spot. We purchased weekly tickets called CIS tickets and used them frequently on buses, trams, metro and regional trains, you just had to validate the ticket once on the first journey. We were able to use the same ticket to visit the beach and Ostia antica roman port. There are all the shops etc you could ever need five minutes walk from the hotel, would recommend Bar Baffo by trastevere train station for cappuccino and pastries in the morning, we got the 170 bus to the train station, hopped off for breakfast then got the number 8 team to largo Argentina (with its cat sanctuary) most days, everywhere was reachable from there. The only minor problem with staying in the suburbs was being unable to pop back to our room during the say for a shower etc, we stayed out enjoying Rome all day every day!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked a football field at the front of the hotel which was used until late at night ev...

Having decided on a holiday in Rome, my boyfriend and I realised that we also wanted a more relaxing side to our holiday so specifically searched for a hotel with a pool, and with all hotels meeting these requirements in the city centre being way out of our price range, we chose the H10. We could not have been happier with our choice. Before we arrived we were a little worried about the distance into town as neither of us knew Rome well, but this was barely even an issue in the end. Yes it is a bus ride away, but the buses are frequent and the journey doesn't take more than 15-20 minutes and takes you right to Piazza Venezia in the centre of everything and right by the forums and Altare della Patria (perfect for your first view of Rome). As long as you are prepared for this before you arrive it is no issue whatsoever. The tickets are €1.50 per person per journey, but the machines on half the buses are broken so you don't pay anyway!

The hotel itself is very modern and (most importantly for me) perfectly clean. We had a standard double room but it was a great size, the bed was enormous and the room had everything you need/expect. The only (very minor!) complaint I would have is that as the floors are not carpeted, as soon as the cleaners go into the room next door every morning and start hoovering you can hear the hoover bashing up against the walls. This woke us up a few times as they go in quite early. The pool area is small so in order to make sure you get a sun lounger you have to be up there at 10am when the pool opens, otherwise all the beds will be taken until about 3pm. Unfortunately for us we didn't actually get that much use out of the pool area as we had thunderstorms all week, but on the few occasions that we did it was peaceful and relaxing, just as we had hoped.

The hotel staff were some of the best I have ever encountered. The staff on reception spoke fantastic English (and gave us some very useful Italian phrases that we used for the rest of the week) and would bend over backwards to help us. Any request we had or information we asked for was dealt with immediately (printing tickets, etc.) and even when we checked out they were happy to store our luggage and give us hotel towels to use by the pool until we left for the airport. The cleaning ladies were also very friendly and efficient. My boyfriend had one issue with a very rude lady working on the bar but all other staff were brilliant.

On the first night we ate in the restaurant in the hotel where the food was delicious and not overpriced. Drinks were not cheap but this seemed to be a theme throughout all of Rome (gin & tonic drinkers like myself beware). We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we had read before that it was expensive and not worth it, but at the end of the road there is a fantastic bakery with wonderful, incredibly cheap pastries and friendly staff, so we ate there most mornings. The area around the hotel is nothing special, but there are good supermarkets where we bought water and snacks to keep in our room and also a great pizzeria opposite the bakery.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it was fantastic value for money (due to its location it is very inexpensive). The hotel itself is wonderful, the staff amazing, and the pool is an added bonus. As long as you are aware of the bus journey into town before you arrive, it is everything you could hope for.

This is a great hotel ,if you are prepared to stay out of the centre of Rome.very clean ,beds and pillows were very comfortable, great shower, bathtub a little slippery!the reception staff were helpful and friendly ,all spoke English well! Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food. Despite the hotel being near a school and children's play area it was not at all noisy , blackout curtains proved effective.the pool area was good ,pool small and not enough sunbeds , free beach towels on request.enjoyed my stay very much , just watch out for the extras on your bill on check out .hotel mini bus is available for 2 Euros (didn't use this) the number 170 bus on the main road, tickets available at the kiosk round the corner from hotel can be used to get into city centre, it is a busy bus ,few seats ,get a ticket or risk being caught and fined.taxis are expensive into city centre ,I paid 25 Euros .

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the school, the other side is used by dog owners ( doing things dogs do ! )

First of all, let me say I am so happy that my vacation ended at this hotel. My daughter and I spent time first in London, then Paris, and finally Rome. Our stays in London and Paris were disappointing due to very small rooms, outdated hotels, not in the greatest locations, no restaurant in the hotel, and the list goes on. We found none of these problems at H10 Roma Citta. The hotel is new, the rooms are very spacious (probably 3 times as big as the other two that we stayed at), decorated beautifully, has a wonderful restaurant (we had dinner as well as the included breakfast.) I must compliment them on the daily breakfast, as it is so much better both in taste and presentation than any of the cities in Europe that I have had the breakfasts which include London, Paris, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and of course 100% better than the ones included in hotel stays in the U.S. There is a cute wine store within two blocks walking distance as well as many restaurants and nice stores, which include book and music store, shoe store, make up store (Sephora), etc. etc.
This hotel also has a spa where you can get a massage, manicure, pedicure or beauty treatments, and there is an outdoor swimming pool on the roof (didn't have time to go up there but they give you vouchers for towels at check in). Absolutely no complaints. I was so ready for a hotel like this after the previous hotels on this trip, and it allowed the vacation to end with a great dinner and on a very positive note.

Room Tip: I would expect that all the rooms are nice. One thing--none of the ice makers work. There is one on...
