We took a tour of museum and St. Peter's Basilica, Green Line Tours. Tour guide was not very good. Spent way too much time in museum and we did not get to see what most tourists want to see; (the view looking up to the Vatican) where the Pope comes out. It way very crowded, very slippery if it rains and we were looking forward to egypt part of museum and all we saw was tapestries. Plus, make sure guide tells you where to meet if anyone gets lost, which 7 people on our tour did and had to take taxis back to their hotel, (my husband included), they also do not tell you that there are no bathroom breaks.

Thanks to Silvia Monti of 'Eyes of Rome'

A fabulous private tour, highly educational, expert knowledge on architecture coupled with some lovely humour, recommended on a level 11/10, that is eleven out of ten, that good. Note to the hungry head to Piazza Navona, after the tour and have a fine meal outside at Bar Navona, wonderful.

Thank you Silvia

Astonishing, we definitely recommend a 3hour guided tour, booked with the local tourist office. Small group, maximum 12 persons. Cost 60 euro/52 euro for children

This was our second tour in Rome with this company and our tour guide, Simon was excellent. We had limited time to see a little bit of everything and he did very well at giving us at least a taste of it all. His knowledge about the painters, sculptors and other artists was very helpful in understanding what we were looking at. His sense of humor kept it from becoming too dry with facts. ll fees were included in the price of the tour. I would use the company again without any hesitation.

We toured the Vatican with Francesca on Oct. 31, 2013. She is absolutely outstanding. Without her, we would have been overwhelmed. She has a deep understanding of the history of Rome, art history, and the church. She provided a detailed, but never dry, description of all of the highlights. In addition, she is loaded with personality. We highly recommend her and will definitely ask her for other tours next time we come to Rome. This personal tour was worth every cent.
