“dont do it”

If you like wasting your time, and love waiting for late people, waiting for buses to join your group, having a guide that looses there group, sharing lunch with 100 people and worst long cues for the toilet, tour guides that repeat everthing in 3 different languages. This is the tour for you.
This was the only organized trip out of my 5 week stay in italy.Naples is a dump.Pompeii was too long, very similar to Rome ruins.More time should be spent in Almafi, stay at positano. Please do it your self. The boat trips around Almafi to Positano,Capri that you organize yourself are great.Theres nothing emerald about this trip

“Out of business”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2013

Our family was planning a trip to Italy in July of 2013 and we had communicated with Appian Line regarding the tours available. We had used them in the past with no problems. Much to our surprise when we contacted them for credit card payment they advised us they are out of business.

“worst tour company ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2013

we were on a 5 day tour with them from Rome to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri, Positano, and Amalfi return. We did complete a brief walk around Naples, that was alright, although most of the time we couldn't hear the guide... we then headed to Pompeii. We had lunch, where there was no menu, food was just brought to us, it was passable only! Our tour of Pompeii was fairly good, the guide was knowledgeable, but we weren't given maps or any resources to know where we were, what we were seeing, or something to take away.. We then were taken to Sorrento and put in a nice hotel, but it was ages away from the town which disappointed us. If we'd known then what was coming though we would have appreciated it more! We had a great tour of Capri and all was ok until we headed for the Amalfi Coast part. On arrival at our hotel in Amalfi we found the company had gone broke, we had no accommodation and were stranded. We were left to sort things out ourselves, Appian couldn't have cared less, no-one spend any more money with them!!! They're crooks and broke!

“DON'T BOOK! The company is out of business.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2013

Booked walking tour of Colosseum through weekend in italy, went to meeting point 30 minutes early only to find NO ONE. I was displeased to say the least. I am expecting my money back; don't even know why weekend in italy is still selling these tours.
