Picked from the monkhouse I Saw the reviews on TripAdvisor and Turned Out to Be a great choice. the monkhouse is very Laid back the guys arrange to pick up from the airport Which WAS all good. The room was great monkhouse We Had the wasp Which room was fine for the wife and me. the position of the monkhouse is great It Was only short walk to
Roman Forum and the colosium. Also only a short walk to the metro what more Could You Ask For. If you get the chance go and see the Villa Borghese for me this WAS one of the top three in roman. if there is a slight downside it can be a lot of noise from the street outside in the evening But this is roman go enjoy Have a drink in the pub and enjoy Opposite the monkhouse you are on hoilday.

We had an excellent stay at Mok´house. Marco and Andrea were wonderfully serviceminded and made our stay in Rome an easy and pleasant one. Good location, genuine atmosphere and neat rooms. We would definately stay there again.

+ located between two Metro Stations Cavour and Vittorio E
+ the street is a one way street, which means not so noisy as for instance Via Nationale
+ the room was clean and had a personnal touch
+ one had the feeling like you would stay in a flat and not in a Hotel
+ very flexible as you can come and go when you want
+ 5 min walk to Colosseum
+ not so many tourists around
+ the bakery around the corner where you will get the breakfast is pretty ok
+ within walking distance to Termini incase you took Leornardo Express to the City Center
+ there is a supermarket nearby
+ Marcos brother told us about Sant Estaccio Cafe' - the best cappuccino in the City
+ Marcos english was perfect
+ comfortable bed

Suggestions for B&B owner;
* office hours sign at the office, for instance on individual basis depending on the guests if they like to sleep in the morning or wake up early
* welcome drink at the roof terrasse would be nice
* information how to reach shopping centres outside the City

This B&B are for individuals that like to organize things themselves and who doesn't want to feel like a tourist.

If you love all inclusive hotels and prefer all kind of comfortable things like elevator, bathtub etc this is not a place to stay for you.

Rome is a fantastic town and you will get a wider view of the antique time in Italy. It is has very much to offer.
There are like in many other cities lovely restaurants with great deserts, most are on side streets. You should avoid the touristic ones where they try to throw you in.

Best is to buy a couple of books and prepare which historical buildings/churches/museums you would like to see before.
A good tip is also to watch the way on Google Maps before arriving

My wife and I spent 8 nights in the 500 room, and it was great. The people who worked there, Fabrizio and Andrea, were very helpful in letting us know about the room and Rome itself. The room was very clean, had a wrap-around balcony and a large and very clean bathroom. The location was amazing, about a 5 minute walk to the metro station, 10 minutes walk to the train, 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum, also near an Avis car rental location, just a great location. The cafe across the street where we got free breakfast was delicious, and the people there were very nice as well. The only thing I would have liked to have was having the sheets and towels cleaned more often (cleaned once during our stay), other than that it was a great experience and I will definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Rome.

We stayed 3 nights at the Mok' House just a week ago. Our experience was great! It is located from walking distance to pretty much everything: Termini, Santa Maria La Maggiore, Vittorio Emmanuele underground station, Colosseum-Palatino-Forum, Monti, Pantheon, etc. We only used the underground for visiting the Vatican.

The Vespa Room is not that big, but it's very cozy. The bath is not ensuite but it's for private use of the Vespa Room guests anyway and very clean. The view from the balcony is lovely (with the back side of Chiesa de Santa Prassede just in front of you!). The neighbourhood is full of restaurants and shops. Very lively during the day but not noisy at all by night.

We wanna thank Fabrizio for his kind assistance before and during our stay and for his practical recommendations for dinning out (we recommend Tempio de Mecenate, just a few steps from Mok' House).

Rome is an absolutely amazing city but staying at Mok' House made our Vacanze Romane really perfect! Thanks!

Thanks to Mok House my girlfriend and I, spent one of the most romantic roman vacations ever!!! Located in the heart of the city, it took us only a couple of minutes from the TERMINI train station. Once I was there I asked Fabrizio (one of the managers) a couple of recommendations on where to go later on in the evening. Not only was he extremely nice and helpful but also he perfectly understood the type of place I was looking for. (My girlfriend still talks about this little bar near Piazza delle Tartarughe that is probably one of the nicest and places in Rome for a quiet drink.)

The rooms are decorated in a really cool manner. Fortunately we were able to spend time in both the 500 and the Vespa room. After telling Marco that I was really interested in the decoration he was nice enough to let us change from the 500 to the Vespa room, for the remainder of our stay so that I can “appreciate all of MOK house”. The view in both rooms is great, you really get the feeling of being in the centre of the city. You can’t get a more genuine roman experience than what you get while you stay at MOK House.
