“Good location, great hotel/staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 December 2009

The hotel, while not right in the main tourist area of Rome, is easily accessible. We took the bus and metro all over, with no issues. Also, the location afforded us the opportunity to taek in some local flavor and eat at some local restaurants recommended by the staff - who, by the way were phenomenol. Oh, and one more thing, the breakfast (included) was excellent, compared to other places I have stayed, far more than a mere continental breakfast. WOULD GO BACK HERE IN A HEARTBEAT!

Exceeded our expectations. From the first greeting at the front desk we knew we were in the right place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nearly new, bright, and very clean. The breakfast offered the biggest and best buffet we saw our entire time in Italy. The location is manageable after about a day of adjusting to the bus and train. Once adjusted, public transportation is easy and safe. I don't believe it ever took more than 30 minutes to get downtown.

The hotel is on a busy street so your best bet is to get a room that faces toward the back. We were on the side (with a great balcony) but the early morning traffic definitely wakes you up.

Free internet and access to a public computer was a real plus. Free secure parking another big advantage.

We'll be back!

I spent 2 nights in this hotel:
Pros –
Has free parking
Extremely clean rooms
Very cooperating staff
Reasonable price
Great breakfast

Cons –
Small rooms, but that’s Italy…
Not in center, but has a good transportation to it.

The location is excellent if you enjoy public transit, bus and metro, and are an independent traveller who enjoys walking and exploring the back streets. We generally left for our day in mid-morning and returned about 10;00PM. The bus routes are accessible from central Rome. I would recommend counting stops and scouting out the drop-offs. We missed the hotel by two stops the first night returning on bus 881.

The staff are courteous and very informative. We made reservations for the Vatican Museum, on the Vatican site, a month ahead and it is worth it. Museii Borghese requires a reservation. Forum, Colliseum and Capilene Museum can be done day of arrival. I strongly suggest an audio or on site official guide. The official guides usually have their tours early in the day.

Campo di Fiori is a short walk to the bus home, and a great place for dinner and shopping. Side streets around the Pantheon and Piazza Navonna have trattoria that are treasures ... also walking distance to bus 881.

Breakfasts are very generous with a selection impossible to totally enjoy. Staff will make your favourite caffeine fix. Rooms are immaculately clean and the new construction shuts out any noise, if you are a light sleeper. We took the shuttle, car, to the airport and it was 42 Euros, a great deal and a driver who scooted around a huge traffic jam to arrive at FCO early.

We will return. Back rooms provide a lovely park view.

Stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. Everything that has been said about this place is right.

Just a very good hotel, very nice friendly staff. Having a good breakfast outside and you have no idea you so close to Rome. Breakfast was perfect and very big choice. Not sure if one could get eggs e.d. we didn't wanted it. Maybe you can ask for it.

First day we walked to the Vatican, not the most perfect route for a pedestrian and it took us about an hour. On the way we had the best coffee ever :) ( Eur 0.90 )
The bus is very convenient, stops almost in front of the hotel and the ticket system is very simple. Never waited more than 10 minutes. The trip took about 20 minutes into town. We didn't got any day passes as we did not used the bus/metro/tram more then 4 times a day.

Twice we went for diner close to the Hotel and used the advice the hotel gave. Very good places and you it's difficult to get more local.

One small remark about the location. We got into town early and stayed most of the times till diner . You end up up with very long days as you tend not to go back to the hotel in the afternoon. If the hotel would have been more to the center, we probably would have gone back for a little break.

As you probably already guessed , we will come back here.
