Ok for a couple of nights

Review of Ciak Hostel
3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 30 Mar 2017
The building is old, so is the interior areas. The room had almost no circulation space and just one small locker inside, just on the last day, we realized there were more lockers outside. The bathroom was inside the room and not the cleanest. Staff was nice, and the breakfast was included. Can be a two-night stay with no further problems.

I booked this hostel with a group of 10 friends in Rome as it was in the central area and had great prices! The rooms were ok and adequate for the purpose with locking doors and ensuite bathrooms, although they could have been cleaner they were still perfectly acceptable. The check in desk was 24hrs and the people on the desks were polite, cheerful and very helpful giving loads of information about the city and what to do with our time here! I would definitely recommend this hostel for younger travellers as it is cheap without being too far away from the city centre and has great connections to the airports and metro lines!

The room in an all female dorm was okay, great location easy access to the metro and walking distance to the colosseum. The rooms were maintained and kept well but bathroom could use an upgrade. Breakfast buffet was also very good. For the price, it is really good.

I stayed there for 2 nights my friend was staying in a mixed dorm & i was staying in a female Dorm , when i arrived i thought the neighborhood was not the best but then i realized it's the best u can get in Rome with this price , couple of minutes from metro station 1.5 to colosseum & 1.5 from Roma termini if you are arriving by train .

At the hostel street there is a cafe and a chicken hut restaurant in case u are hungry any time of the day 3.5 euro for chicken burger

Also gelato in Rome is couple of minutes away it's a big gelato shop with a food court ( had the oldest gelato factory )

The staff are Nice and the bed , bathrooms & kitchen is very clean

If you are on tight budget try to use the kitchen alot it's well equipped

Not the best but not the worst I've stayed in. It's quite and the rooms are super cosy so if you don't mind walking over the top of people stuff all the time it's okay. There's no real common room just a small kitchen area and the free pasta nights they offer Tuesday's and Thursday didn't happen :-(
